Minimalism is seen in the game's simple sprites and the music tracks that contain few instruments playing at once.

Fantastic, gameplay-wise, this might be my favorite out of the jam! I liked the lighting effects, esp still like background slightly illuminating, I think you could have a done a lot more of those without detracting from minimal (obvs time is always an issue). Echoing others, would have loved a %complete/ending at the end. I think I got it all.
I would have liked a minimap and controls explained but my only real issue was not realizing I could aim the bombs. In the upgrade room that required it, I thought you had to roll them off the ledge above and get really lucky, it was awful, but another person commented on it. Other than that, I really liked all the puzzles and interconnected-ness.
That’s neat, feels very classic Metroid! I think it hits a lot of the same notes, though it also leads to some of the same problems, i.e. “oh, I thought I found progress, but it turns out it’s just another missile tank I don’t really need”. In general, combat was never challenging outside of the final boss (at which point I was so tanky that I could pretty much just facetank it), but the secrets themselves were fun to find, so I didn’t feel too bad about the rewards not being that interesting. Aside from that, I echo a lot of the sentiments of previous commenters about a lack of polish, which is understandable if you ran out of time. Hit feedback (i.e. the enemies flashing or having particles erupt from them when they get hit) would’ve made things feel a lot better for example.
Good job though, a nice amount of content for a jam game, satisfying to play!
P.S. The boss scream is so loud, holy hell, I turned the audio up cause the rest was fairly quiet and it scared the shit out of me
Was disappointed the game just seems to softlock after beating the boss, I wanted to go back and find the last few upgrades :(
Most of the things I felt were missing are fairly minor polish additions that I don't necessarily expect to see in a jam game like control rebinding (mouse3 for the morph ball is an... odd choice and I would've probably liked to change it, though it wasn't a huge issue and I was still able to play through comfortably) or a map screen. I will say that having to check the jam page each time I got an ability was annoying and there should be control prompts in-game - I saw you said you ran out of time to do so "properly" but I don't think it would actually take as much time as you think - just a bit of text that pops up when you get the ability would've been sufficient.
Otherwise this is a very solid entry! It's nothing special to look at but it was a lot of fun to play - it feels really fun to control, very well done. It's also decently large and while I was worried the lack of map might make that a problem, the world was really well designed and I never found myself feeling lost - even with the very minimal visuals you did a good job of making each zone clearly distinct and guiding the player through the map effectively. Also really appreciated the amount of secrets and optional upgrades, it does a lot to cement the metroidvania feel and is something a lot of other jam entries fall a bit flat on.
I liked this one. It's very solid I don't have much to say or add. I think having ball mode be on a different key would be nice since the middle mouse button on my mouse seems to have fully broken at this point lol.
Really enjoyed the Metroid feel of this minimalist title! Visuals and music change in mood really appreciated!
Hey, happy to see another twin-stick-shootervania in the gamejam! (And a far more fleshed-out one than mine, too!) Definitely has that classic Metroid feeling with the powerups and weapons, but the little touches like the missile gate puzzles are a nice twist.
The minimal graphics are quite effective, though a bit more personality for the player character would be nice. ;) I absolutely adore the music, especially in the green zone and the night zone with the super dash (and I'd like to say having the whole secret area there just to give you the optional powerup is cool as heck!). The controls were good enough for the kind of platforming the game expected you to do, and the boss at the end was a simple but cool finishing touch.
A few issues and miscellaneous bugs I had:
Overall had a lot of fun with this one, it was a pretty substantial game but not so big as to overstay its welcome, and the soundtrack was definitely a huge highlight for me!
My thoughts while playing the game:
Sorry that there wasn't any in-game control information. I planned on adding that, but I kept delaying it mid-development, and by the time I tried to sit down and add it I realized there wasn't enough time left to do so properly.
