On the most recent patch (currently update #2 I believe) when you interact with the synthesis machine (or whatever it's called. It's the machine you interact with after the milking machine back on the ship) it still says that you need to milk yourself first even if you have. It then proceeds to activate a small cutscene and then you can interact with the machines below it to grab the item anyway. (Not sure if dialogue is missing or if it just says that line first either way)

Developer

Oof, that's a big oversight on my part. Thanks for the report!

(+1)

When trying the fishing mini-game if you hit Z or Space to move to the minigame you auto-fail it straight away. It is worth noting that the follow-up dialogue that says you failed can be advanced without issue even if you do press Z or Space so it doesn't have a huge effect. (All 3 "starts" for the key fishing mini-game have this issue the picture is just of the first one)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I've known about this one but have no idea how to fix it without messing with how the battle works, and that one was so tedious to get working I'm hesitant to mess with it at all by now lol. I'm likely just going to leave it as it is, since it's not so much harmful as it is a bit annoying.

I encountered the "Secret Purgatory Ending" and decided to do some testing in case this proves useful. In all versions I have the 2 keys and the fishing pole as well as 3 milk picked up.

==========================================

Drinking 0 Milk sends me to purgatory

Drinking 1 Milk before entering the saucer and refusing to drink the other 2 allows me to get the ending for Unstable formula

Drinking 1 Milk before entering the saucer and attempting to drink more gives you a dialogue box saying X2 plans to save it. (Pretty sure this is intended)

Drinking 2 Milk before entering the saucer and refusing to drink the other one... clones X2 when you use the milker for some reason? The X2 clone has a breast level of 0. You get Unsatable Formula ending

Drinking 2 Milk before entering the saucer and attempting to drink more gives you a dialogue box saying X2 plans to save it. (Pretty sure this is intended)

Drinking 3 Milk before entering the saucer and going as normal results in no issues at the milking machine, and the same (minor) issue at the synthesiser I reported before where X2 says she needs to milk herself first but then goes ahead and uses the machine anyway (you get the moderate formula)

Also just for more data points these are the items I have on me before I drink any milk

If you complete the secret route with 0 milk you can't advanced. X2 says she can't do anything with the milker at the command centre, and despite saying "let's see what I'm working with here" at the machine in the research lab nothing actually happens. (Note I have 3 milk undrunk in my inventory)

EXCEPT! I went and tested this more and guess what? Skipping the "Secret Scene" "featuring" the two antogonists GOT THE SEQUENCE TO WORK PROPERLY! (Assuming Unstable Compound is "correctly")

Additional Notes:
Works fine when drinking 1 milk and 3 milk... I think? And it sort of works fine on the 2 milk version.

See here's the thing. Both the 2 and the 3 milk version gets you the "moderate compound" ending despite the fact that when using just 2 milk on the Divide route you get Unstable Compound like the 1 and 0 milk routes

Let me know if you want more testing done or infomation on this one... not sure what else to test and I'm super lost tbh.

Oh one thing I've thought of later. In case it matters.

I tested the endings in this order (and I closed the game between each of them)
0 milk (With the S Scene) -> 1 milk (S scene) -> 2 milk (S scene) -> 0 Milk (No S scene)

I went through the 3 milk ending earlier before I started bug testing, and I also hadn't realised the S scene came in milk variations which was cool to see.

Developer

You're a BEAST, Vongrak, thanks for all the bug testing! I'm gonna reply to all of your points right here;

  • Been play testing a bit, and the changes I've made for next build seem to have taken care of the Purgatory loop; I've run through it with each variation of milk-tiddy size and I haven't hit the loop, so I'm hopeful that it's been taken care of!
  • Yeah, that one's intentional. X2 will refuse to drink the milk once she's at the base, I might add some kind of disclaimer for that. The idea was that she'd intended to save all of the milk for studying, but was drawn to the taste. So once she gets back to her base, she's kind of over the craving now that she has immediate access to do what she wanted to do in the first place.
  • Ah yes, the surprise X2 mitosis! This isn't the first time this one's been brought up, but I have had some trouble replicating it myself. I'm pretty sure I know what went wrong, I just need to do some play testing on my end to see if I can replicate (and fix) it.
  • The synthesizer issue seems to be fixed, now. I just forgot to add a switch in the last patch lol But it seems to be working as originally intended!
  • Thanks for the inventory check! Fortunately the only factors that play into the ending stuff are how many milks you've drank and how many you have in your inventory. Keys are only for getting the Will so you can unlock the H. scenes, and any items you pick up from the mini games don't really do much outside of their respective games. (Rations carry over from the last game, and give you a health boost. I should let people know to use those before the dialogue battle with the Hillys)

Also a quick note, the formula for which compound you wind up with goes;
0 milk and 0 tiddy size = jump to bad end
1 milk and 0 tiddy size = Mild Compound
2 milk and 0 tiddy size = Moderate Compound
0 milk and 1 tiddy size = Dud
0 milk and 2 tiddy size = Mild Compound
1 milk and 1 tiddy size = Dud (The Illythian milk dilutes the cow milk so it fails)
1 milk and 2 tiddy size = Moderate Compound (Illythian milk bonds successfully)
2 milk and 1 Illythian size = Unstable Compound (Illythian milk bonds TOO successfully, weird science reaction stuff)
3 milk = Unstable (That's some strong milk)
I was originally going to make the Mix formula max out with the Moderate compound, but felt like that may have been too punishing for people who just wanted to see tiddy growth in the tiddy growth game, so I switched it up.
Truth be told none of this makes sense and I was kind of firing from the hip. I forgot to account for mixing the variables until pretty late in development, so it's pretty rushed and it shows.

  • By secret scene do you mean the hentai scenes? I hope you're on the Unify route for these next points if so, because they're not meant to be accessible in the Divide route and that'd open up a WHOLE CAN of problems! Assuming it IS the Unify route, I think I know what might be happening there. I'll take a look at those conditional branches just in case I need to make some tweaks to it.
  • It's really weird that skipping the H-scenes would change things, since that doesn't have any switches or variables attached to it that would interact with the milk used/milk collected variables. It's worth looking into! The Unify route does track the milk/tiddy size variables a little differently than the Divide route does, so there may be a couple hiccups there.
  • Don't worry about being lost, I am too lol I'm pretty sure that a lot of the issues with the events stem from the fact that I likely used conditional branches incorrectly, so it's not counting these variables the way I want it to. Luckily, things seem to be working in my play tests with the changes I've made, so I feel like I'm at least on the right track to fixing this ending sequence.

I'm not sure if the order these things were done will affect much, but I'm glad you noticed the different variations for the H. scenes! I like adding that kind of variety just in case people wanna do things in one specific way or another, which is probably the root to a lot of the problems I've been having with these bugs lmao

Thanks again for all the bug testing, friendo! Trying to fix these has been a pain, but everyone who's been looking for and reporting on these things have been a huge help! I'm hoping the next patch will have all of these issues cleaned up for good.

(+1)

No problem, I wanted to see all the ending variations (and I think looking at the calcs I still do have more to see? Probably waiting for next patch though).

Main reason I'm replying is to confirm that YES the testing with the "Secret Scene" was done on the Unify route. I didn't think I needed to specify because you can't get the last key on the divide route. (I did try just to see if I could, but nope it remains locked). Also yes I do mean the H scene. I also have no idea why watching it or not watching it changes anything because I thought it wouldn't change anything. I was mostly testing it because I'd already tested so many other things so why not... then it actually "fixed" things for that ending and I was very confused.

Developer

There are only two main endings, with variations of each. I guess there's technically three, with only one actual bad end for not finding/using any of the milk in the Divide route.

And that's good! I figured as much, but some of these bugs have been so absolutely befuddling that I had to wonder if I somehow made a whoopsie there. I'll have to take another look at the H. scenes then, just to see how they might be messing with things.

Saving is blocked after beating the chicken minigame, until the clown minigame is won.

Developer

Good catch! I'll get that fixed here shortly

it is really hard to get the key for the pond on the  phone users

Developer

I have no idea how it would play on mobile, to be honest. I know that clicking on pc doesn't work, does just tapping the screen on mobile make it do anything?

no it just slides off the screen and putting the phone on a hard lock

Developer

Guess I'm making a skip for the fishing mini game, then

So, here's my official review(which probably doesn't mean anything tbh-). All in all, still very fun. I enjoyed the darker tones and that conflict I did see was amazingly written. I do have a few nitpicks as always. First of all, cocks. Wrong cock, I meant the chicken you horn dogs. Still, as much as I enjoyed that mini game (probably just mobile bias) but it's pretty much impossible without slowing everything down, I think the best score i got was a 14  or 13, out of the 20 or 25 you need to get, yeah pretty difficult 馃槄 Aside from that, I don't really have any other gripes or nitpicks. I'll say that I don't believe I got all the milk or past 2 of the secret keys (zero idea what they're used for) , and also don't understand the purpose of the "dad" (peepaw). I mean I could "fight" him, but nothing happened for me. Probably something on my end there, but that's the last of my griping. I'd give it a 7/10. Still room to improve if you were still working on it, but definitely still a good game at the end of the day. Good night everyone and hope y'all sleep well! 馃憤

Developer

Ayyy, thanks for the positive review! I really appreciate you praising the writing, it was one of my favorite parts.
And yeah, that chicken game wound up being a real pain for a lot of folks. Balancing those mini games was a lot trickier than I expected, so I'll be taking that into account for later projects.
I keep forgetting to make a guide for the milk and keys! The keys only matter in the Unify route, and the three milks are found in the house, in the apple shed (after the first mini game), and in the well house (after the clown game).
As for Pawpaw, his role is strictly just story stuff. I wanted there to be this kind of mysterious presence who's got this kind of foreboding aura, but I didn't really do enough with him. Though after interacting with him, he does pop up in a few obscure locations! After the chicken game, he'll be perched up on the balcony, and just before the greenhouse mini game he'll be huddled in a corner on the left as you enter.

Thanks again for the positive review! I don't see myself coming back to this game, but it was a good learning opportunity for future projects.

(+1)

That's fair in all honesty. Ik how you feel about the game and everything, but in my opinion at least it's not as much of a failure as you think it is. Sure it's kinda difficult and different from your past game, but that's a part of the learning curve, picking up what you liked and leaving what you didn't.

how do you get the unstable compound ending?

Developer

You need to find all three milks. To get the unstable compound ending you need to either save all of them, or drink one and save the other two.

(+1)

At the part with the clowns, when the timer end and that the place I can move inside shrink, I half the time get stuck outside the zone so I am unable to move, so I just lose.

(+1)

I finished the game today and encountered a few bugs. Another is that at the end in the spaceship, I only drank one bottle of milk and gave the others to the machine, it had let me even tough I did not go to the lactation machine but did not give me anything, so I went to the machine, brought nthe milk back, and I could not put it in the machine, so I was just stuck.

(+1)

And at the beginning when you need to catch 5 cows, there are sometimes one hiding beneath a cloud so you cant see it.  I just could not do the chicken minigame on my phone and did not saw the option to slow down the chickens, so I had to play on computer. Just saying, its IMPOSSIBLE to get all 25 chickens on phone, unless you are REALLY used to this type of game or are using a tactic to get a bunch of chickens. The most I managed to get was something like 17. But other than that, really good game! I liked playing it, I did all the endings and I think the art style is really good.

Developer

(Just gonna reply to all of your messages on this one) Well hey thanks for playing! Glad you liked it, I appreciate the kind words <3

I also appreciate the bug report, but it's very unlikely that I'm going to be bug fixing this game anymore. The reason being that I've had a tremendous amount of difficulty in replicating these bugs in the past, and every time I think I've squashed them they wind up causing someone grief anyway. I don't want to spend more time trying to fix them when I have a whole bunch of other projects that I would much rather do instead.
I should've closed this topic sooner, I just kept forgetting lol

Thanks again for playing!

saveing before minigames makes it save as you enter the door meaning its inpossable to go back and turn on the easy mode without restarting the entire game

will there be any futa related content for future bfs9 titles?

Developer

Nope!

Awh not a fan of futa? :(
