Really cool idea! Once I got a hang of the controls I had a lot of fun playing this.

There are a few bugs and control issues that made it a bit too difficult to progress that far unfortunately. Mostly with the edge climb ability, I didn't understand how I was supposed to use it and eventually got softlocked.

Still, this is a great foundation.

Ran into a lot of the same problems that other people have mentioned here... way too fast to the point of being unplayable... I got the ability but I couldn't see what it was... I really hope, you release  a post jam version as it's way too pretty (the graphics and sound are amazing) and too a good an idea not to produce a polished version that lives up to the potential.

thanks a lot! I'll post an update here when there is a new version

The overall gameplay idea is cool, but it is sort of difficult to get into. Without reading the comments, I would not have been able to get through what most people thought is the second room. Also it is sometimes a bit unclear, why the player changes directions or how far he can jump. Also: when I got to 0 HP nothing happened. Despite the ciritque I admire the vision and think that the Idea has great potential. (But also mechanics like only being able to shoot downwards really feel unintuitive/not natural, at least to me).

I would love to see an updated post-jam version of the game!

Powerup text is unreadable, gravity is way too strong, and some surfaces don't behave like others for no apparent reason.  The sound effects are really good.  Double jump timing felt a little too tight.  After getting used to the orientation the controls definitely felt better but it was really rough for the first few minutes.

The game seems to be running about 4 times too fast. I couldn't read the power up description. I like the music though.

EDIT: I was able to get past the second level by mashing the spacebar with both hands. (I have a high refresh rate monitor that's probably why it's breaking) I'm sure there is a great game in there. It seems interesting, it just doesn't work for me.

Awesome idea, and I really like the art direction, just a bit rough around the edges.

Great idea, o the second level the background colors are darker do some parts of the back groins mixes with the platforms, and also, I couldn’t pass the second level, so I didnt see the metroidvania mechanics. But a loved the idea, the atmosphere, and the music, great work

Developer

Thanks!

there is a door up in the first level, you can get an ability ;)

I’ll polish it along the way. This version is so rough
