Hey mate everything ok? I didn't received any DM! Also, I want to inform you that we are running a special, closed jam, for those who had partecipated to the first edition of Wasteland Jam, with the scope to finish your game, polishing and improve it! /jam/wasteland-definitive-edition-01

This is a very cool game, with a great concept. Building a small game around inventory management with this post apocalyptic themeing just feels right, I've run into no bugs, the vibes and the sense of creeping dread the game offers is heavy and culpable. Very nice job!

In my opinion, this is the best game of the jam. The atmosphere is outstanding, and the UI and art style are simple yet extremely effective. While the core gameplay is straightforward, the scavenging and trading systems, combined with the lore, add a lot of depth. Congratulations on a really solid entry.

Developer

Thanks so much! I'm excited at how receptive people were to the concept.

And this was a fun jam, thanks for hosting :)

Very cool atmosphere in this game and the interface is great too! Nice intro and very well put together; I love the whole game loop of traveling and then scavenging, etc.

I may just not be a good scavenger but I could only ever really find the big transistor radio looking things and the hairdryer looking things so I never could actually get enough to trade for anything else.

If I'm missing something obvious here please let me know because I would like to play more.

EDIT: After a tip from one of my teammates, I started finding light bulbs and that was the key! This was a very fun game and I enjoyed it very much! Very polished for such a short jam.

Insanely cool game! Loved the atmosphere, and the tenseness. Really cool art for the hidden object rooms too. Learning the item spawns was fun. I didn't understand how to scavenge at all for the first few minutes, but once it clicked it was alright. Great job!!

Great atmosphere, UI, sound and art. Once I figured out the item detection I loved it. If I could give the writing and story 10 stars I totally would. This is a masterpiece. I absolutely recommend that anyone reading play the game completely.

this game is so freaking cool! audio really works, writing is great, atmosphere is super cool, searching mechanic is cool too - i did have to read the description and take a bit of time to figure out how to detect items, but after i figured it out i was really into it! has a lot of potential! would love to see more items added! only thing i couldnt initially figure out was how to get new filters so i eventually died. sick work!

Developer

Oh I'm sorry to hear you had a hard time finding how to get filters! I understand how that part was a bit unclear. You can trade 3 slots of any electronics for them at the trade fort.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

This was a lot of fun! took me a bit to figure out how to actually find stuff, but I loved it!

Hell yea dithering. This rules dude. I can't really tell if I would have liked it more if the items were in different places every time for each area. At first it was frustrating finding them, but then when I knew where they were it kind of stopped being as fun lol.  I might just be fickle. Regardless I loved it. Great story and atmosphere. I just wanted to help my community  :'(

I totally get the point on item placement, a more randomized placement system would have really helped keep it fresh there.

Thanks for playing!
