I have something special that I really want to make. I've been working on this project by myself for a few years now, but I feel that I may need a small team to really get this game off the ground and into the public.

The main help I need in particular are folks who are really good at writing / storytelling (namely something that's lighthearted), a pixel artist, and someone who is more experienced with GDevelop than I am, as that's the game engine that I'm using currently. I'm still a beginner when it comes to game dev and while I've made a lot of progress with my game, I know that I still got a long road ahead of me.

Sounds fun! Would you be willing to elaborate on what kind of story/game? I can assist with music/ambience, voice acting/narration and writing if needed. Discord is: Rvndvlf

Regarding the gameplay, the main thing I plan on doing for the game is putting an emphasis on character's emotions.

For battles, you can either reason or fight your enemies. Reasoning with them is you, the player, choosing to find out why they're either mad, sad, happy, etc. and calming them down whereas fighting is just you, the player, hurting them physically and not caring about what they're dealing with on the inside.

The story is something that I want to be lighthearted.

Humans, Animals, and Robots have lived together in peace for a good while, befriending one another and sharing resources with each other, until the leaders had disagreements on what would benefit their own respective groups.

At one point, there was a bad incident that involved a machine made by robots that ended up hurting some kids, as well as some animals.

After that day, the leaders decided to go their separate ways and formed big walls called Strongholds that stretch across their lands.

The player takes the role of a young human boy who stumbled upon the land of animals by mistake and later befriends a few of them.

Throughout his journey, he can either help out several other animals and robots with their own personal problems (or not) and in the end, he will meet the leaders of each group and see their own respective side of the story, as to why they felt they went their own separate ways.

I just got done reading your examples and dude, not bad at all. The coffee shop was hilariously clever and the post apocalyptic quest one was ironic because you gave the reader one of three options to choose.

That was something I planned for my game at some point when it came to battles, but I ended up ditching that idea way earlier in development.

Actually, I wouldn’t mind the help. I have the first part of my game halfway done, but I'm still working on the script. I have some things in mind, but I wouldn’t mind someone giving me their input on how the script could improve from what it is now.
