Theme interpretation and application
For the theme we made the game with a one bit artstyle along with a accompanying colour like Madworld, I hope you all enjoy the game

Nice looking art style and ambience. I like the feeling in general. I think adding diagonal movement will improve a lot the experience, with only vertical/horizontal movement it feels a little locked. I also got stuck on the third floor of the hause.
I also would be very happy if you can rate my game too, i am looking for more ratings before the JAM ends.
I really enjoy the art style, music, and the unique movement mechanics. There is a bug on the third floor of the house where I got stuck inside a wall. I also really like the polished camera movement.
There are still a few bugs—for example, the ground texture feels a bit messy, and when I move, it makes my eyes hurt slightly. I also noticed some background tile glitches.
That said, I really like how the game focuses on exploration, which fits the Metroidvania style well. Including keybind instructions and save/load functionality directly in the game is very user-friendly. Overall, I think it’s a very cool game.
thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
You all nailed the artstyle on this one, very unique atmosphere with perfectly unsettling music to accompany it.
My only critique is that the movement feels a bit janky, keeping inputs when I want them to stop and eating others that I want to have go through. I also encountered an error where I died without having ever saved and the engine found no existing save file to load me back to. Otherwise, this was a pretty smooth experience!
thank you for your feedback, I am not too fond of the movement myself, if I ever decide to come back to this project, it'll be the first thing I do.
My thoughts while playing the game:
Thank you very much for your feedback,
I definitely should of put an autosave into the game, that's on me, for the boss fight I just used space to interact with stuff, sorry for having it be weird for you along with the other bugs you encountered, if I ever come back to this project, I will try to address all these issues.
oh it was space, I just started mashing buttons and eventualy I noticed some where off then I jus kept going with each one and the click felt like it was working, maybe it's one of the default interact from RPG in a Box
the click is default for the engine, it also default to move like a point n click game but I disabled that feature for this game
