The game’s simplistic art style worked really well and kept everything clear and enjoyable. The festive weapons added fun and personality to the gameplay. Overall, the game was entertaining, and I had a great time playing it.
This was actually a ton of fun to play, and there's a lot of game here for a jam game. The art is simple, but honestly really charming and I think it works well here given the tone of the game. The voice acting is actually... really well done? Like, it feels well recorded and implemented and added a lot to the game overall. Good job all around, thanks for the fun submission! I haven't had this much fun killing elves since Elf Bowling.
Your entry was one of my favorites of the bunch, seeing full 3D in EFPSE is always impressive, especially with such a short timespan. And thank you for the compliment on the VA work, I find voice acting very fun even if I'm not the best at it, my friend Bro Chadwick (Santa) has a great voice so I had to get him to play the jolly fat man, the little giggle used for the gingerbreads was actually genuine while my gf was recording her other lines so I'm glad I caught that on the mic.
Thank you, I appreciate that! It was a lot of frustration getting the 3D models to do what I wanted them to, but I feel like I was able to learn a lot about the engine's peculiarities in the process, so I think it was worth it.
As for the VA, I can tell you guys enjoy it, it comes through in the end result! Keep it up!
Really enjoyed this! It was funny and fun! Loved the simple art style. It fit very well with the theme! Great job! Loved the music too!
Pretty nice game, the movement and guns work pretty nice! Loved the flamethrower :v I think the map textures could fit better with the pixelart? Or maybe it's the contrast between the pixel art and the high quality edges of the 3d that looks a bit off to me
I'll admit the textures were a bit of a rushed job, your entry was fantastic! I'd play it again as a Christmas tradition
there is a whole lot of game here for the jam, I'm impressed!
was confused about the gingerbreads for a bit until i realized they could be eaten for health (after death)
flamethrower was my favorite weapon by far there's a lot of charm to be had here and could see this as a full game one day.
only critique i have for this one is gingerbreads could of been bigger (quite small lil fellows)
and the weapons could of been placed in various location's to force us the players to use the other options even if only for a bit (instead of giving us all the goods at once)
loved it and keep up the good works!
I Might be thinking about a sequel in the future :)
I liked the flamethrower implementation. The final boss is easy, but the battle is epic, as much as possible within the engine and jam time constraints.
Thank you! I loved your entry for the jam, you're a very skilled artist. The textures and enemy designs were a feast for the eyes, the guns felt so punchy and your level design makes me want to improve my own main project moving forward
Cute game, very creative. :)
great game though i do thing the weapon sprites could be more detailed but i like the idea of the game its really cool
