I didn't participate in this jam but I wanted to play a few of the top entries. You guys did a great job with this!

Very cool mechanics, managed to beat all the ice levels.

cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, simple yet really creative mechanic! like how its done, maybe adding medals and something like this would keep players more focused (i like grinding medals and getting better time in those games)! Good job! Needless to say, that art is really cool (that's menu is banger), and I really like those sounds!

This was a blast to go through! While I was playing my friend pointed out that it reminded them of getting over it (not derogatory). I like how there were a lot of different ways to go about some of the levels. The music was really good, I especially liked the ice level music. The graphics were also very nice to look at, barring maybe giving some things an outline or edge to make things not look as cut off (very minor nitpick though)

Overall a great game y’all did a good job :3

This is extremely polished and well made! I love the multiple paths to success like with level 6. Level 5 was a tough one for me though. The exact movement of the mouse doesn’t sometimes translate well to momentum. Having more extreme lerping of the mouse movement might work better to make the movement easier to input and predict. Insane that you have multiple worlds with new mechanics. Well done!

Wish there was a way to zoom out or look ahead. Mechanically, though? One of my favorites in the jam. The physics are nearly perfectly tuned. Great job with this.

Great single mechanic that just works. Loved the artstyle and animations! Impressive amount of content. Top jam candidate for sure!

Thanks! It's definitely the best game any of us have made so far. As soon as we got the main mechanic down, we saw the potential, and that motivated us to work extra hard!

You know you're onto a good idea when everyone gets excited to work on it!

Wow this is brilliant! It feels so good to move around and fling myself across the level at mach 9. Really nice job, one of my favorites of the ones i've played!

Developer

Thanks for the praise! Feel free to share your times and grab counts so others can try to beat it :)

Very nice graphics and movement. The letting go of the swing feels very good

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it! This was my first time making a game that uses physics, so it took a long time to get the movement to feel just right

Strengths

  • Great interpretation of the theme.

  • Fun gameplay that feels engaging.

  • Snow level fits the “wild card” theme nicely.

  • Original, clean design with great art and music.

  • Overall a solid and well-made game.

Weaknesses

  • Controls can feel a bit tricky in certain parts.

  • The snow level is quite challenging

Developer

Thank you! We tried to make the game difficult but fair. We're a fan of difficult games like Super Meat Boy and wanted to make something similar. Could you elaborate on what you found tricky about the controls?

Submitted(+1)

Zooming out the camera a bit would help a lot, I felt like I was launching myself blindly a lot, unsure if the way I chose would lead to a quick death or another spot to grapple.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We tried our best to remove the worst leaps of faith from the level design, maybe in the full game we could either have a map system, or use arrow signs.
