The enemies come in waves, and the game takes place in the ocean (although the water isn't very wavy).

dudeeeeeee this game is so freaking awesome!! I loved trying to get a combo and high score bouncing around on everyone!! The puffers were very hard but it was so satisfying to get a parry and then fling it away! My high score was 1299, which I dont know if it's pretty good but i had a blast. The one thing i found weird was that when each wave happened it felt like i automatically had a 50% chance of losing a life because of things that spawn right on top of me. maybe some sort of spawn protection at the start of each wave could be nice!

Simple and very fun game. Shame it has no sounds, some pixelated, crunchy 8-bit like sounds would fit here. Good Job!

I love the gameplay its super fun and i enjoy the speed at which the player moves making the attacks feel like they have some kick! My only recommendations are some sound additions, and since you're using Godot I suggest using mouse_mode.captured() so that the mouse can stay within the window. I found my mouse stops at the end of the screen preventing my player from moving more.

Hmm not sure if this is a bug or not  (I'm running in chrome and safari on a mac), it looks like the player is stuck looking down at the ground/water and I can't move around (using WASD). I can swing the sword, but can't seem to play the game otherwise. The camera sorta sputters back and forth when I try to look around.

+1, here. It looks like sea and sky background are fixed and not moving as opposed to enemies
