Ranked from 13 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How did you implement the Theme?
The theme 'Light' is central to the win condition. The world has fallen into darkness, and the player’s goal is to literally re-illuminate the globe. By landing gifts on specific continents, the player triggers a visual 'Lighting' effect—a localized glow—that signifies hope and joy returning to that region.

How did you add the Special Object?
The bell is a Special Item that can bring more light into the world.

Where are the bells?

Developer

You press "B" to activate a bell. It is worth more when you land it.

concept is great! liked the implementation of special object! little advice: maybe it's just for me, but game is little hard :) but this is not a big problem, game is still cool!!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the implementation.
Can you help me understand what might have helped make the game feel more easier for you?

You can kinda cheese it by spamming the space bar since most continents have land near the top. Overall really cool. Love the art!

Developer (1 edit)

I did think of that. So there is a distance multiplier. If you land a projectile past a certain distance, there is a 2x multiplier (this changes based on the difficulty).

For the art, I can only take credit for the santa, gifts and bell. The globe is thanks to this one: https://opengameart.org/content/rotating-pixel-art-earth

OMG the game concept is super cool! also loved the pixel art animations!. I would only work on polishing the throw strength bar, but really cool overall!

Thank you for your feedback! This was my first time building a game to completion, so I would really appreciate it if you could share how the strength bar can be improved.

Like it felt that no matter how long or short you leave the throw input on, the trayectory doesn't follow 1 to 1 to the strength put. I would just make the slider value match a little more. It's just a natter of playing and adjusting the slider bar values.

I really like the idea for this one,  and the pixel art is super nice! It was a little hard to understand what I was doing at first, though. Overall though, good stuff!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. Yeah, a few of my friends tried it and shared similar feedback. I am planning to add something to let the player know how much points each projectile earned. This should clear up the use the bells and distance multiplier as well.
