How did you implement the Theme?
The Character is a candle and shines its light onto corrupted elves to cure them, but don't shine for too long, you will burn out!

How did you add the Special Object?
A bell is added in a few ways:
1. Elves make a bell noise when they walk around
2. you ring a bell for extraction at the end

maybe its my machine's fault but i couldn't see the elves and i just keep dying. In the screenshots there are elves so i guess its on my end

Developer

Thank you for playing our game, its a part of the story that the Elves are invisible, this was explained in the opening cutscene. You can see tell where they are with a blue particle effect and shining your light on them will cure them and make them viseble again.

Oh i see, will play it again now.

I really liked this one, sound are visuals were really great for a 1 week game! my only feedback would be gameplay, it can be a little confusing at first, but overall really great job guys

Developer

Thankyou for your kind words, happy holidays!

I unfortunately could not run the game, most likely an issue on my end though! The game looks so cool I might try again soon,
Happy holidays and I hope the jam was fun for you all!

Developer

Oh no, sorry to hear that. What platform are you on? Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.

I was on windows,  I think it had something to do with my MSVC. qwq

It looks impressive! The graphics and Christmas atmosphere are just great, and the voiced clips are SO COOL for a week-long jam! The main things that could be improved are the feedback (specifically regarding the flashlight and the number of elves left) and the jumps, but overall the game looks really cool!!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed the game. We appreciate the feedback and will take it onboard for next time.

I felt that there was a lack of feedback when shining a light at the elf. Also not a huge fan of the "hopping" movement. The opening cutscene was very well made and the environment too was very Christmassy. Loved Santa being fed up of his rebellious elves!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. If you dont mind, can you please let us know what you didnt like about the hopping player movement? This type of feedback will help is make better games in the future.

Very cool! Just really impressive throughout, the art looks great and the far off spooky Christmas renditions make the vibe just right. An animated voiced cutscene in a week long game jam is pretty rad. The gameplay was intuitive and the balance felt good. An improvement may have been if there were more feedback as to how many elves there are. I got to the end of the level and took out all the ones I saw but I must have missed one and ran out of time. Still very cool!

Developer

hopefully you can finish the game and find all the elves to see the ending cutscene too

I didn't fully understand the gameplay but this one was really cool! I was quite impressed with the opening cutscene, it was very high quality. The theme and objects were used in really cool ways, especailly the light. Good stuff overall!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words, we worked hard on this game with the limited time we had (family first!).

The dev in charge of the narrative thanks you for the compliment.

Developer

if you find all the elves and finish the game there is also an ending cutscene!
