Quirky artstyle! the enemies definitely startled me lmao they just started charging in my face

Charming art. I think if you had used the full seven days instead of three you could have added some more animations and possible some more challenges/puzzles. Otherwise, great start for game.

Really cool game, and I think the art style has its own little charm. Great job, Happy Holidays!

Nice try using JavaScript! What was the most difficult part?

Developer

The lighting system, what is used for the dark circle around the player and how it expands when it is activated, and the collisions.  I tried to make them better, like a transition between on and off when activating the bell pulse, a gradient between the light and darkness, and just better collisions. But, wasn't able to do those unfortunately. It wasn't like super difficult, but way more difficult than using Godot, as that just requires a node, and it's way more time consuming, which I was very limited to of course. Anyways thanks mate!

Valid first JavaScript attempt!

thank you! wish i did a lot more, but i was stuck to only three days of work, so it is what it is. no matter what though, it was really a lot of fun! especially having to code everything myself. i use Godot, so its simple. i want a camera, add in the camera node. i want collision, add in the collision node. but with this, i had to code it line by line, so it was a very good learning experience for me ya know!

Pretty cool for a first try with javascript!

Developer

thank you! there was a lot more simple things i wanted to get done with the game, but only so much i could do in a 3 day time span using a language as i learn it ya know. but it was actually a lot of fun! especially for it also my first time not using  a actual game engine too!

The game is good, the only thing that leaves something to be desired is the collision detection
