Interesting character design and really good animation work. Not a fan of the food timer, I wasn't sure what to make of it. Shame you didn't get to finish it, there's some interesting ideas here.

I like where you're going with the general idea. It's almost like a game-wide timer to reach the end. It matches with the theme well.

However, I feel like there isn't any objective for the game in this build ? I killed a variety of enemies, but nothing happened. The different swords have different effects, but they don't seem to truly impact how you play and how you interact with world like you'd expect from a metroidvania.

All of that said, I think it's clear a lot is missing from the game and I'd need to see an updated version to be able to give my full judgment. Keep at it !

I managed to leave the level and couldn't get back down! It feels generally like there's more work to be done on most aspects of this game, so I assume it is unfinished compared to the original plan. In particular though, I think some music and maybe more sound effects would have helped the atmosphere a lot.

I'm sure you had a lot more planned but this was a rad start! I enjoyed trying out the different weapons, and fire breath on the katana was cool. I wish there were impact sound effects when your weapons connected with an enemy, that would be a quick way to make the combat feel better and less floaty. Hope you keep working on it

Cool that you thought about different weapons, each with their own strenghts and weaknesses, but honstely I think that the food mechanic doesn't really add anything to the game. Was there more "content planned" with respect to the food mechanic?

Thanks for playing. yes there was more content planned. many things I could not implement properly within the deadline.
