Very cute game <3 Well balanced (something we struggled with the most while jamming haha) and i like the tight timer. Good job!

Great game! The art is fantastic! Very charming! Can't wait to hear what you come up w/ for music! I enjoyed the tight timer on the last level personally. made it tough to get the trophy in a good way imo! Like others have said, my only suggestion is making the graveyard world have some use case. I like all the suggestions for what that could be that have already been mentioned in the other comments.

Great job overall! Loved playing through it!

ty for your kind words, maison! happy you enjoyed the hard timer on lvl 4 hahaha, planning on implementing more for the graveyard world soon :)

I liked the game! It was simple and engaging. I also enjoyed the sound design. The levels become really challenging the further along you get.  Great job!

tyty! :)

Congrats on finishing your game! It fits the theme really well.
However, as others mentioned, the gray world could use an additional purpose instead of just being the starting point.
I also think adding some music would really enhance the overall experience!

i am a HUGE music buff, especially synthy tracks or 8bit inspired music for games which wouldve worked perfectly here! i usually produce my own stuff in ableton and wanted to  give it a go in pico's music engine. just didn't have the time with the limit given :( but i am gonna try and add some cool music for this i promise! maybe a track for the graveyard and one for the rose world 🌹

I really enjoy the art (I love pink a lot) and the retro style.

Some feedback and brainstorming about the game:

- The timer is a bit annoying! It pushes me to memorize the road (I didn't catch how the correct path is defined) and especially hard in level 4 ><

- I hope the logic between the two worlds could be better. The banner gives me the impression that the player is in a graveyard. Personally, I’d prefer showing the road in the dark (want to escape from this horrible place), and put some deer/bush across the road. The deer in dark could be a real one (touch = death), or a bush in the colorful world (safe to pass through)...

Anyway, I enjoyed this cute lil game for a while and want to play a future version with music!

ty for your feedback! :) yeah the timer does get a bit hard after a while, i did want to make it 15s for level 4 but just couldn't get it working in time :( i think it would help to add more time on harder levels! the deer in the road and touch=death idea sounds great too, i'm gonna take that into consideration !!

This is a really well-presented and cute game, art-style wise, but quite challenging gameplay wise. I felt very compelled to get to the end and beat it. I like that you learn a bit more about the way forward on each run, then you use that knowledge to get further each time. Though running up against invisible walls is not always the most fun, it felt very satisfying to make it to the trophy, especially in later levels.

It would be interesting to see if the graveyard view itself could be used more, rather than just being the start point. Maybe certain graveyard areas could be checkpoints you can safely emerge from if you get to them in the rose-coloured view? Or could certain graveyard assets provide subtle hints on the way forward to observant players?

Congrats on your first game jam solo submission! Lovely game :)

ty for your kind words :_) i'm happy you enjoyed the challenge, i was afraid i made the last level a bit too hard particularly haha. i rlly like that idea for the checkpoint system, i plan to expand this game from its current state 🌹

Nice idea and I think speedrunning this would be really fun

Developer

tysm! yes, definitely wanted to a speedrun timer in but didn't have the time. i'm sure it would be more rewarding anyway if there were more levels which i plan to add :D
