Very fun and original game!! Like others have said, it can be confusing at first, and I didn't know what I was doing. But once you start to understand the game, it becomes very satisfying. The controls are great, and the drag mechanic is perfect. A full version of the game would be awesome!! Could you please try my humble game too? I only have 4 rates ;)

Awesome game! The mask theme and visuals are very charming and I love the style of redaction + visually covering their faces with art.

I appreciate the built-in tutorial in the first few stages but I also did get confused on stage 3 due to getting past stage 2 by guessing (like Azu).

The clicking and dragging logic & hitboxes are very nice; I didn’t run into issues personally. Overall very fun and cool :)

Very cool and unique idea!
It's such a great interpretation of the theme and the art look nice .. but I agree with Azu, though the game is a little bit confusing and I couldn't pass level 5 😅

But overall, it's amazing that you were able to make this in just 3 days , I like it !

Such a cool interpretation of the theme and GREAT concept for a game! It took a bit of reasoning to understand what exactly I was doing, but once it clicked it was a lot of fun. One thing I noticed is that sometimes the hitbox for dragging the masks can be a little finnicky, leading to occasional frustration. But other than that, I think this is a great entry (esp. for novice!!!) with super cool aesthetics/art to boot. Great job!

Thank you for the kind words! The dragging logic has been a huge pain point and took a lot of debugging, I just had to call it quits at some point. I wanted to introduce the mechanics as much through gameplay as possible, but I now know that this isn't easy without proper feedback.

I agree with the comment below regarding tutorials since I did get rather confused at some stages, but this is definitely an interesting concept! Great job doing what you did in 72 hours, especially as a solo dev :)

Do you mind telling me which stages confused you and what was unclear? I was most worried about the first half of the game, so I'm wondering what else isn't communicated clearly.

I think the third stage definitely stumped me on my first attempt - on the second stage I believe it's supposed to teach you that you don't want any of your gang descriptors to be different (?), but I didn't really get that message and I got past stage 2 just by simply guessing the correct combination (since it was only two masks), leading to me getting stuck on stage 3. I understood it the second time I tried it but the hint felt rather vague and was quite easy to misunderstand or skip past.

The fourth stage was also rather confusing and the hint was really vague. I also think simply changing the color to green isn't enough of a visual indicator that the mask was clickable unless you happened to hover your mouse over the guy. In the end, I got the solution by trial and error and didn't really understand why the solution was correct. Afterwards, the rest of the game just turned into trial and error since I didn't feel like I properly understood the fundamental concept behind what needed to be masked.

That's good to know, thanks for the feedback. I've had some ideas on how to better communicate why a solution was valid or not, but I was pressed on time already. I think I'll make a post-jam build in which I'll address the biggest oversights.

Thanks, but I really had no time left for any more directions. I tried to set up the levels so they'd teach you bit by bit, but I wish I could have added some more feedback to let the player know if their action did something.

Glad you enjoyed it! I unfortunately had no time left for sounds or music, so I had to leave it out completely. I had the settings menu designed early on, so it just ended up being somewhat useless.
