How does your game relate to the theme?
Audio masking occurs when one sound makes another sound harder to hear. When sound waves overlap, they interfere:

Destructive interference (opposite phases) = waves cancel out
Constructive interference (same phase) = waves amplify

This is the same physics behind noise-canceling headphones! In IT REALLY HERTZ, you manipulate wave platforms using these exact principles.

This is my first ever game jam and first ever "completed" game!! 100% of the art, music, and code of course is by me! I used GameMaker 2 for the art and coding and I make all my music from scratch in Ableton!!

I'm a recording arts major at CU Denver and I do game dev as a hobby but I love making games about music and also adventure games like Earthbound!

I hope you enjoy playing IT REALLY HERTZ!!

I can't believe all this amazing stuff was made in just two days. ALL 5 STARTS. I've played a lot of games from this jam, and while there were some incredible ones, none are as polished as this. It looks like a game with months of work behind it—one of the best of the game jam! I'd love to hear what do you think of my humble game too; I need feedback (I only have 3 rates) ;)

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate that! "Polish > Sleep" haha. Your game looks so awesome but I'm a Mac user so unfortunately I can't play it :(

Fascinating realization of the theme, extremely polished! Sometimes I had problems with jumping into the portal when I'm standing right below it, but maybe it's me problem. And on one level blue key was on blue background, and I was confused for a good 30 seconds, like where the hell is the key XD. But I still enjoyed

Im really glad you enjoyed, thank you!!! Night mode definitely had a few extra kinks to work out but I'm happy it didn't make it completely impossible! Great work on UNMASKING, its super super cool!!

Caught my attention because of the art style, didn't expect a GENIUS game concept. How can I never thought of a game like this at my DSP classes? hahaha, creativity here is off the charts, in all aspects (music, art, gameplay and theme). Really impressive stuff

Thank you so much!! It's always awesome to meet another wave nerd!! Sangria is such a beautiful game, great job!!
