You did a great job on this! It was really fun to play.

Nice game! I like the artstyle but the music freaked me out so much that i died at the 2 enemies room :))) Oh and the first time i hit an enemy this pop-up appeared:

"An error occurred running the Unity content on this page. See your browser JavaScript console for more info. The error was:

EncodingError: Decoding failed"

Maybe because I'm on a Mac? Idk, the pop-up just kind of disappeared and i could keep playing. I had fun tho, good job!

Thanks! Yes sadly the unity export has some issues running webgl on mac, I gotta investigate further to understand if it's a unity problem or a problem with my code.

Thanks for playing and I'm glad you had fun!

I love the game. So far it is my favorite gameplay. I didn’t think I’d like memorizing levels. It seemed to me like a poor gameplay mechanic. My two favorite games in the jam are about memorizing. I guess I didn’t know myself that much. Memorizing is fun! The music seems broken? The gameplay gets hard when you face the gun guy. It feels fair.

Good work on this! Well made game.

Thank you so much for playing! It really makes me happy that you've loved the gameplay <3
We decided to read the theme of the jam as in "Don't totally trust your eyes, trust your memory a bit more", and it's so cool to see that someone liked the concept of memorizing the hidden traps so much!
Regarding the music, I've already explained it in another comment, it was created with the idea of making a distopic game, something that we didn't do at the end.
Thanks again for playing! I'll get to try your game out as soon as I can

GREAT game, the music in the back is insane tho cant tell if its good or bad tho

Developer

Thanks! The music was made with the intention of creating a distopic and dark adventure as a storyline, but at the end we didn't have time for it but by then it was too late to make a new ost lol

Really glad you enjoyed it tho :)

Great game! I love hard games so I had a blast with this! Ty for the controller support as I found it was easier to play that way and it helped me a lot. I like how the sword slash had a bit of a delay when I hit the button b/c it prevented me from being button mashy w/ the combat and I had to think about the timing more.

I did run into a bug that I had to reload the game to get past that I figured I'd tell you about. There was a button near the start of a room and I think the player hitbox was overlapping the button and the room exit at the same time from where I was standing when I interacted w/ the button b/c when I tried to stop interacting w/ the button, I exited the room but was still trapped in the button slow-mo view. So I couldn't move and could only swap back and forth bt/wn those two rooms. I had just started a run so I didn't lose much progress, so no big deal. Just wanted to let you guys know about it

Omg thank you so much you are so kind! It makes me so happy to know that you're a fan of our game as much as I am of yours, and thanks for catching the bug <3

This is a really solid concept and I feel compelled to return later to see if I can get past the room I keep dying in (it's the room you first find a shooting enemy in - love how he moves away from the player when you get closer by the way!) Their movements are all quite slick, and slo-mo is a great touch too!

I like the idea of repetition + memory in games... knowing that with enough play-throughs I wouldn't even need to interact with the thingamajig to know where the traps are, freeing me up to focus on defeating those tough little enemies.

Great game, well done!

Thank you very much for playing! I hope you get past that because you were *almost* at the end :)

I like how you used the theme in this kind of genre. The slowmo while standing on a button is cool too. The combat feels a bit wonky tho.

Thanks a lot for the feedback :)

The game concept is good.

But I think having a spawn point (or a safe room) that fully heals the player and saves progress would really encourage me to keep trying to beat the level.

I didn’t reach the ending , the combat was a bit difficult for me.

Thank you for playing! I'll get to playing your game as well very soon

Great idea! I think adding combat to the game was a bit overscoped, focusing on the puzzle part could be better to improve the overall quality.

Thanks a lot for the review! Sadly, having to prepare for new year's eve while developing a game didn't give us too much of a chance to focus on what would have been beneficial and what not for the project.
