omg i love the sound effects! the pew pews make the game

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

The game and art look great! I also like that you made different weapons for the gameplay.
It could be fun to have some skills, like grenades or other AOE attacks.
For the sound effects, it could be nice to hear an SFX when enemies get shot.
Overall the game is good!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! We wanted to add those, but sadly didn't have enough time for it (maybe in the future we will tho!). We did add an enemy shot SFX but we didnt have time to mix everything properly, so its probably hard to hear while playing.

Sorry for the confusion , I later realized my volume was turned down, so I missed the hit sound.

Developer(+2)

Ah alright, no worries!

I LOVE the different characters and how they're drawn. Massive kudos to the artist and whoever made the pew pew sound effects lmao. I like the 2.5d aesthetic and how each universe is clearly defined. The core loop is also well made, i truly felt like i won every time i saw "Wave cleared". Really nice

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! We worked a lot on the cohesion, and style as a whole so it means a lot!! (I also did the pew sound so thanks for that hahaha)

Fantastic game! Loved it! Great idea, REALLY cool aesthetics in each world, and all the different weapons were awesome! Definitely could see myself coming back to play this one post jam! I loved everything about this game! Amazing job!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much!! The whole team worked really hard, so that's great to hear :D! We were thinking about tweaking some stuff post jam (and also when we have more spare time) so yeah make sure to come back!!!

The aesthetic is good. At first the gameplay was laid back. Things come in, get shot and its done. Then there were some semi-transparent invincible enemies? I didn’t figure that part out.

Developer(+2)

Thanks! And those are the "phantoms", as eluded to in the tutorial/description. They can't hurt your house but you can't be certain if an enemy is real or a phantom until you shoot it, hence the 'don't trust your eyes'. Lore wise it's spillage from other dimensions because of all the inter dimensional travel. We went pretty hard on the "Show don't tell" part of those but it might have been a bit too unclear :)

Really liked this one, aesthetics, very smooth game feel, good job team. Teeny note - In the blue/grey place, I noticed myself clipping on some invisible square-ish collider, I thought it was maybe a plank from the wild west world, but didnt see anything in the same location in either other worlds. Intended?

Developer(+2)

Oops, seems we made a mistake on the collider of the scifi walls!

Good catch, will upload a fix when the jam is over :)

the default mouse sensitivity is way too high, but the music and art/environments are great. I really love the color palettes used, and the pew sound effect haha

Developer(+2)

Yeah, we only noticed after submitting. It worked fine on some PCs but went berserk others. Downside of not getting to add a settings menu. We added a little note in the embed bg to let players know they might have to tweak it a little on their side :) And thanks! All our assets are self-made, we poured a lot of love into it and our artist recorded the pew sound himself too ;)

I have transcended past the concept of dimensions

Developer(+1)

Yep, we didn't add invisible walls or deathplanes because we had better things to do in our time, so one effect of it is that you can escape the worlds and kinda spoil how the "world switching" mechanic works :D (teleporting 500xN units over)

Submitted(+1)

it’s pretty clever, I’ve seen other 3D games use this technique but it didn’t occur to me that’s what’s happening until I started messing around the map :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We toyed around with disabling colliders / renderers and different layers etc but that's difficult to keep the enemies moving and everything progressing naturally in the same world, until we thought of this solution! Big fan of how it worked out :)

Submitted(+2)

Love love love the aesthetics of this one! Really cool different environments and enemy designs - each location tells a story. Nice work!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much! We poured a ton of love into the environment, so we're glad it paid off :D

Nice concept and art. I like that you made weapons foe each world.

I don't know why so many unity and godot web fps games make my mouse automatically move if the game isn't in fullscreen. I have this issue in my own games as well. Appears to be a problem on my end probably. Anyway great job with your game!

Developer(+2)

Yeah, real. We just added a "Best played in fullscreen" notice because without it doesn't work very well. Same with that players might have to adjust game sensitivity
