Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
When I saw the theme image, my first thought was finding someone and leading them home. I then thought of leading a bunch of little creatures home. Part of the game would be finding where the creatures were hidden. The player would glow when they are close to a hidden creature, similar to the glow from the image. And, instead of only following the player, I turned it into more like a simple puzzle. The creatures would only follow lights, which would need input from the player to turn some of the lights on. This world would be whimsical and light-hearted, evoking wonder, relaxation, and positive emotions.

This game is so cute, I love the Environment,  I love the hide and seek mechanic, to be honest I believe this game has great potential with a little more polish and fixes. I do have some feedbacks:
- Camera control is a little shaky and it makes me a little dizzy xd
- (If this is intentional then please ignore it) The little ones get confused sometimes on where to go even if the path of light is shown to them in an orderly manner.

for a hide and seek game the camera control felt limiting, but other than that nice work. the phosi got caught on the "bus stop" lanterns a few times and the lady left them behind, but on re-try worked fine. I like that you can sneak a few fields of phosi down to the lanterns before letting the melon guy fully talk to you in the second level to get ahead of her rout timing.

Thank you for the review. It is true, I couldn't figure out the best camera for the game. With more freedom it seemed too wonky, but maybe that would have been the better choice! Did you find a bug with the lanterns? The lady will only pick them up when she passes by, so if you are too late, you have to try again. I am glad you found that you can go into some areas before talking to the character. It was a very subtle thing, so that is great that you discovered it!

Environments are super well done!

I had some trouble getting the phosi's to the dryad, like they followed the mushrooms, but they either got stuck or i was missing something on how to get them away from the lamps and to the dryad.  And it seemed like after a bit of time the dryad left and i had to restart(?)  Unclear if that was a bug or an actual timer.
I ended up using the cheat key for the first two levels, but the forest did not open, maybe I missed something.

It is a pretty chill idea, if this project were to continue I'd love to see more challenges.  Maybe there's multiple types of mushrooms with different effects, and player needs to puzzle out how to use them to lead the phosi's.  Maybe phosi's have more behaviors too, like running from the player and needing to be herded or something.  Feels like there's lots of different ways you could expand on the idea!

Very nice vibes, I believe your description said you used asset packs, and you used them really well! Environment design is what really stood out to me for this lil demo, very solid polished presentation overall!

Thank you so much for your detailed comment! The dryad has a set path, and the level will end when she gets to the end. You guide the creatures to the lamps (they should stay there) which are on her path, and she will pick them up when she passes by. In hindsight, I should have made some simpler levels before the garden! (I ran out of time for the forest, so it can't unlock) I will check out your game as soon as I can.

oh!  You might have noticed by now but I was not a submitter to this jam (although I am a dev).  I have a friend who was in the jam so I'm doing my due diligence to rate several games and not just theirs haha.  If you wanted to check out my friend's game though it's this one! /jam/thatgamejam01/rate/4171954

This was pretty fun! I liked the sound design a lot and the small puzzles of getting the phosi's to the dryad were cute and well executed. I'm not sure if there was more content past the garden, because the other two areas didn't unlock for me, but what I played was great! Good job~

Thank you for the comment. You are right, it's very easy to miss, but the NPC says you have to save all the creatures. In the garden you must save all 15 to unlock the next area. There is a cheat though, if you press 0 in an area, the dryad will speed to the exit with every creature haha. I will check out your game as soon as I can!
