Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
We have created a "gameplay-as-narrative" platformer, centered on the transfer of life embodied in touch. It allows players to personally experience the emotional resonance of "separation and reunion, nihilism and existentialism" through the cycle of death, puzzle-solving, and progression.
Design Rationale
We anchored our design to the iconic "finger touch" imagery from The Creation of Adam, translating the concepts of "communication, connection, and redemption" into interactive gameplay mechanics:
Lamps are not just puzzles—they are vessels of memory: Generating lamps through death or throwing items symbolizes "turning loss into connection"; the limit of 3 lit lamps at a time represents "the capacity to carry only the most essential memories".
Death is not punishment—it is a medium of communication: Some mechanisms can only be triggered by death, mirroring the idea that "confronting loss is the only way to move forward".
The letter atop the mountain marks the end of separation: The letter carries "obsessions of the past", and the journey to deliver it is a process of "finding peace and moving toward the future".
Theme Integration
Through the narrative choice of "one being trapped in the past (memories) and one moving toward the future (healing)", we weave the philosophical exploration of "from nihilism to existentialism" into gameplay. Every choice to place or relight a lamp is an act of actively creating "connection and healing" amid "seemingly meaningless loops"—turning "reunion and redemption" into a journey driven entirely by the player.

I wasn't able to pass the first pool of water because I was falling through the vines. I'm guessing the vines were a bridge, but the collision wasn't on? It looked nice and I wanted to see more of the game, but unfortunately I couldn't progress. Also, it took me a while to find the "quit game" option, and I'd recommend making that easier to find. Nice work though.

Deeply touching narrative! The story of a postman delivering their final letter while confronting souls in the afterlife is beautifully poignant. The concept of connection spanning across life and death, through unfulfilled obsessions and unspoken words, is emotionally powerful. A moving exploration of human connection that transcends mortality. Excellent storytelling!

The visuals are interesting. The light mechanic is pretty smart but I think it should be made more clear (reminds me a bit of closure). Also, I had no idea I can grab the vines by holding right click, it took me a while to know and I almost quit the game. I made it to the flying fish things, but didn’t know what to do.

I see the file name has Chinese so I will just use Chinese to make comments.

Nice idea unfortunately I had a hard time figuring out the first area of the level so I had to abandon pretty early, but could be because I usually don't play these kind of games. If I may maybe an on screen tooltip telling players they can grab something with RMB when they are close to vines could help :) especially at the very beginning. Loved the aesthetics!  Feel free to check out our entry too!
