i wanted to like this but i think it might be bugged. i tried playing a second time and it showed the first mask i made instead of the new improved one. the art and the concept are awesome and creative i think with a little more tweaking this game would be super cool and fun to play over and over
This is most likely the result of the way we are saving the mask (which was admittedly patched on just so it worked by the deadline). It makes certain browsers double up the first mask. Would you be willing to share which browser are you playing on?
Currently the easiest fix is just to exit and reenter the game. We will be updating the game soon, we just needed to wait for the gamejam to finish.
I like the vibe and the tone, the art and the music helps the aesthetic a lot. The gameplay itself is not for me, but I understand where it's trying to go. A problem I found was that in the first round I just made a crappy mask with like 3 things glued to it (again because I usually don't enjoy this kind of gameplay), and I ended up winning the round anyway? Maybe the punctuation algorithm is not ideal? Or the other competitors should be stronger?
Anyway, there is a nice vision for the project and its well executed for the jam duration. Congratulations!
Honestly, you might have just lucked out with the choices for the mask! We're thinking about adjustments we can make to have the algorithm be more responsive so thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for the kind review, even though you don't jam with the gameplay.
You're welcome! Good luck with the adjustments
The game is really cool, but is not polished well. If you do more than one round, the judging phase completely breaks, skipping your later masks and showing your first one. Also, the rating algorithm is definitely not the best. Overall it was a really enjoyable experience though and just keep jamming to create an even more awesome experience next time!
I would love for you to rate my game too btw :D
Thanks for the feedback!
It's really cool, but the mask I made didn't appear in the qualifying competition.
Ah drat (this was something we were trying to fix for a while and thought we did). ( ยด-ฯ-)
Was this a one time occurence or can you recreate it consistently?
What was the process you followed to make the mask?
(we would also love to see a screenshot of the mask before submission if you have it)
Thanks for the feedback!
Your mask should always appear first while judging. After that one of the random presets would be chosen.
Great game c:
Thanks!
Made a cool mask B). Good work!
(*^-^*) Glad you liked it!
I'm pretty impressed with the overall game. It seems so polished. And the implementation of the theme is done in a pretty good way!
Thank you for thinking that. Art makes a huge difference!
I'm super impressed by all of the creative options in the game! There's a lot more than I could have imagined could get done in 72 hours!
Thanks for the kind comment! Having a team of 4 does help.
