Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
We were inspired by the given theme image and associated it with the famous painting The Creation of Adam, as well as a key phrase—“almost touching.” In the image, the fingers are in a state of nearly touching, which gave us our design inspiration. In our game, the protagonist is split into two characters: one inherits all the happy memories, and the other inherits all the painful memories. The player directly controls the upper character and simultaneously controls the lower character through mirrored movement, allowing both upper and lower characters to work together to complete levels. We believe this effectively expresses the theme both in gameplay and story. First, in terms of gameplay, the upper and lower characters can never meet—they are separated yet always close at hand—and they must cooperate without physically touching to finish each level. In the story, we aim to explore how experiences and memories shape a person. By splitting one individual into two parts in the narrative, we show how this leads to different outcomes. We believe a person is continuously shaped by their experiences; every experience makes up who they are. Life inevitably includes both good and bad memories, and what we need to learn is how to reconcile with our past selves, gain wisdom from past experiences, stop dwelling in the past, and avoid being trapped by it. Our past, present, and future selves are just like the almost-touching hands in the theme image—closely connected, yet never able to truly touch.

Not a huge fan of the verbal aggression from the bottom character but the game is good in concept and a good fit to the theme of the jam. Nice job.
thanks for your comment :D
I'm sorry to make you feel that. At first, when I designed the following character, I hoped to express through her speech that she only inherited bad memories, so her personality was relatively negative. Thank you for your feedback. I will carefully write the lines of the characters in the future.
Interesting concept!
If you place your character more center-left than extreme left, it would be easier for the player to find out.
thanks for your comment and advise :D
Thank you very much for your suggestion. We actually found this problem, but we have no time to make corrections.
totally understandable
Fun mechanics, cute game! I can't wait to see the full version!
thanks for your comment :D
Thank you very much, but we have no plans to further improve it at present. If we get good feedback in this jam, we will further improve it. Thank you for playing our game.
Thats a very cool mechanic you've got there. I think maybe a bit more polish on the game could have helped, for instance a backing track would make the game feel less empty. Congrats on finishing.
Thanks for your comment. We didn't havd any sound effects producer, in order to avoid using some music that doesn't match well, we decided to leave it blank. Overall, thanks for your playing. Congratulations on completing the game!
Very challenging game, but not in the best way. Unfortunately, some deaths felt unfair because of the colored platforms' hitboxes extending below them. Explaining in the tutorial that you can double jump would've been nice, too. The visuals were nice though, especially the background art!
thanks for your comment and advise. Sorry about unnecessary deaths due to wrong hitbox range.
Thank you very much for playing our game. You are right. This game is very challenging. When I designed these levels, the original version was actually more difficult than it is now, so even as a developer, it is difficult for us to make it, so we constantly simplified the levels, optimized the difficulty and made it easier. I don't know whether the difficulty is suitable for you now, whether it will be too difficult or too simple. I hope to hear your feedback, which is very important to us. Thank you again for playing our game.
cute game!
