Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
The left hand symbolizes Joe, the main persona. The right hand symbolizes his shadow, the anti-persona — his doubts, regrets, and fears. Just like the two hands in the theme image, they are mirrored. And so is their movement in the game: when Joe moves left, the shadow moves right.
The core mechanic requires players to control both mirrored personas to solve puzzles and progress. Through this, players come to realize that mirrored does not mean opposed. The two hands are not enemies — they are partners. The shadow, once seen as an obstacle, becomes essential to moving forward.
Step by step, with the help of his other self, Joe climbs the mountain, reconciles with himself, and fulfills his promise.
The title "Fourward" is the name of the climbing team. But it also echoes "reach forward" — to extend your hand, to move ahead. That's what Joe does: he reaches fourward.

This was cool. I really enjoyed the shadow mechanic. That was rad. Though, I didn’t get very far as I had a lot of difficulty with some of the more precise jumps. I thought it was very clever! Nice work!
