Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
Muse is an interactive story about a young artist in search of her muse.
The photo provided as the theme references "The creation of Adam", which reminded me of an interesting debate on the hand gesture. Was Adam hesitating? Was Adam actively reaching for it or is he passively receiving God's blessing?
This debate actually showed how creation is a two-way process. Man created God who created humans. Therefore my approach to the theme is "creation", more specifically, the Muse and artists. This two-way relationship of creation is similar to muse, who is the embodiment of inspiration, and the artist. We as artists create our work, and also constantly being defined by the work we create.

I loved the story of this game.

Very nice visuals. I really liked the last chapter where going back to the roots of where the art started. Great work!

The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous. The gameplay is simple but effective, and the story is excellent. A beautiful work !

Not as much a game per se as an interactive art piece with light game elements. Beautiful work with great taste and style, and a very polished, masterful execution. The only wish is for a way to pause and later resume at a given point, or to rewind.

what a great game! The ramping up of the interactive challenge made it easy to follow, hit-timing was clean and or forgiving and the sound design was very nice. The story was moving, both inspiring and emotionally challenging until the beautiful resolution.

Beautiful game and incredibly thoughtful interpretation of the theme. A wonderful experience that uses the interactive medium well. Doesn't need to overcomplicate to drive the point home. Amazing work!

Wow I'm so glad I stopped and took the time to play. Going through the motions in this manner of sculpting, painting, photography combined with the message of the game was so fluid, beautiful and polished. The poetry of the words used was also beautiful, and it felt the perfect length. Nothing overstayed its welcome and the point was driven home.

This was wonderful!

Very picture book like! Great art, great color, and great composition. It does sympathize with my feeling of finding inspiration when working. (Reminded me of Florence, idk if that is an inspiration) The interaction for each level also works well with the theme of the chapter. Impressive work as a first jam wow!

Developer

Beautiful experience all around. The photo level is quite the challenge with a trackpad! XD

感觉很天才的主题 把灵感这种飘渺的概念表现的很好!还有真的很喜欢画风,这种绘本一样但是很有氛围的感觉

This game has something to say and it stands out because of that (Along with its highly polished execution). Love those varied click and drag mechanics with the minimal Ui feedback. One note is: I did feel the stone SFX were a bit jarring at the beginning. but I understand why you chose them for the story. The whole thing feels very TGC and I mean that in the best way. Congrats!

This is really beautiful and the UI is very satisfying. Love the game. Great job!

Love the art direction and the highlight of different art mediums! The incorporation of gameplay to each chapter is so fun and I just wish i could have seen more of that interaction in the gameplay. My favorite one was the third chapter since the player technically did not have as many boundaries as the first two chapters, so maybe that could be implemented more in other games you are interested in making :)

overall wonderful art and technical direction!

Beautiful art. The use of colors was especially good. A really simple yet effective game, not much to say. Nice job!

really enjoyed playing this one! the art style is pretty and the mechanics are simple and fun. short and sweet game. my only point of feedback for this would be to make music transition better between different chapters as it feels pretty jarring when music stops suddenly. so instead of fading music out, it could be a small cadential stinger and then the next music and chapter starts after going to fade to black. well done!

Astonishing art works! Would be even nicer if you can add camera movement (maybe zoom in a bit) after player interacted.

Such lovely storytelling of the arts and its emotions behind it. I love the unique interactions throughout playing it.  The artwork is amazing as well!
