FS25 Railroad mods Update

Morning All!

just wanted to create a post to let everybody know where I am at with my FS25 conversions. I thought about creating the mod page without a link yet and just posting updates there, but I didn’t want to get peoples hopes up quite yet. So I am just going to post a few updates here until my initial release.

so first things first, what is the first release going to include, and when? Well as you can see in my pic, the EMD “Cadillac’s” are in FS25 in full force! The EMD SD7s and SD9s will be in my first release. Joining them will be the Baldwin S-12s, some EMD GP7s and GP9s (not sure if I’m going to do all of them yet bc I might rework them a little bit, we will see), GE Dash 9 series (no Canadian cabs yet just the standard wide cabs, sorry EOE! Soon!), EMD SD70MACs, EMD SD70Ms, the Metra EMD SD70MACH (because I really like that locomotive), EMD SD80MACs (cause I really like the CR 80MACs), GE AC6000CW and EMD SD90MACs for some big horsepower!

When? I’m not sure yet.. I’m hoping in the next couple weeks. Now that I have the new material system figured out and the whole conversion process figured out, I think I make pretty good progress. I don’t have a set date yet, but soon is the plan! Definitely by the end of this month!

What about the railcars? Well I will most likely have most of the freight cars converted, and no passenger cars yet. I know, I’m sorry but the passenger cars are WAY more materials, and I am having to switch from simple IC mod to the interactive Controls mod which changes the scripts on the animations and the passenger cars have a lot of animations. So I might not have all the freight cars, but I will likely have at least most of them.

And the tracks. All of the railroad tracks themselves will be converted, butt some of the extras won’t be ready yet. The crossing guards will take a lot of work so those aren’t ready yet, signals same thing so they won’t be, and a few other extras that aren’t ready yet. The new building snap integrated into FS25 kinda sucks cause it has no adjustability (that I am aware of at least?), so the track is a little harder to lay perfectly unless you stick to straights and 90 degree turns for now. I am thinking of ways of adjusting to this new snapping limitation, and I’m open to anybody’s thoughts on it?

So that’s my update, interested to hear what y’all think about my starting lineup for the locomotives? I feel like I need to include some more 4 axle power and maybe some more GE power? I think I focused a bit too much on 6 axle and EMD power as those are my preferences? What would you like to see in the starting lineup? What’s your favorite locomotive from my roster? Let me know!

I also just wanted to say, thank you all for your continued support and understanding over the last year-ish. As you all know, I have a full time job that I often work overtime at and modding is just for fun for me. You all have been extremely supportive and understanding of my crazy real life schedule. I love seeing other people enjoy my mods as well, and your support and donations have been so so much appreciated! Words can’t express how grateful I am for it all.

THANK YOU ALL!

Glad to hear an update on this incredible mod that gave a whole new way to play 22. Can't wait to see how it all comes together when released. Are there any plans on bringing your other mods over to 25 in the way off future?

Keep up the  epic work . This is exciting news !!

Could you potentially have blank or non-textured trains so that we could add our own? Same with the rail cars?

Anymore 22 stuff coming? like the Excavator Rail Crane?

I believe my boy midwest heavy haul is going to release the rail crane!
