How does your game relate to the theme?
My game explores the theme of masks through a masquerade ball, where appearances are deceptive and truth is obscured. The black mask does not hide another person, but separates what the mind can accept from what it chooses to forget. In a night where everyone wears a disguise, the investigation leads the detective to realize...

Thank you for your positive review🫶🏼

The story and the overall concept are great. The ending felt a bit rushed, like maybe a step was skipped, but I imagine that’s just due to the time limit. I’d love to see a longer version of the game to dive even deeper into the narrative. Nice work, really well done!

thank you for the positive review, i’ll make a full version :)

What a plot twist :D
very clever ending with really interesting dialogue , It was a great idea to include choices that change the conversation .. it reminded me of Deltarune a little bit .

my only suggestion is to use a more readable font with less spacing between characters, as the current one was quite hard to read.

Developer(+1)

😅I’ll change the font in later version, I’m glad you liked the plot :)

A really nice and novel concept I haven't seen much people attempt this in this jam so kudos to that , but I wished there was one more scene where you convict a suspect before the big reveal (which I thought was a clever way to end it, so good job on the ending ) , some ambient cc0 music would've added to the feel as well BUTTT it is a 3 day jam and you did well!!!

Developer

Thank you for the advice and for the review, Happy New Year 🎈

Cool game with an interesting twist and fun dialogue! I liked being able to pick different dialogue options but kinda wished there was more real choice/multiple endings maybe. Of course, for a jam it's going to be hard to implement all of that! Good job!

Developer

yeah, i wish i could implement the real ramification to the choice system, but i couldn’t figured it out. Thanks for the review and Happy New Year

Good story with interesting ending. Good job with the sfx that clicking sound was very satisfying and the art style was nice, well done!

Developer

thank you for your feedback, I’m glad that you enjoyed the click sound 🫶🏼

Nice story within such short amount of time! Maybe the letter spacing could be tighter for easiness of reading... or increase the line spacing a little.

Developer

The problem of spacing is in the font already. thank you for the feedback.

Nice narrative, man! Liked the interrogation dialogue, felt very real and the options I choose were very in lign with what my character said. Idk why, but the dithering on the interrogation scene called my attention, looked very good! Only thought I had whyle playing the game is that the letter spacing was too much, somethimes felt hard to read long sentences. At the end, very nice game, bro, it's worth giving it a try!

Obs: VASCO DA GAMA, AVANTI PALESTRA! Rachei o bico com o username e com o seu gmail, tmnc hahhahahahahahahahaha Muito bom ver brasileiro aqui

oloko cara, n sabia que tinha outro br tbm, kkkk. Valeu pelo feedback. Tmj

This narrative-based type of game is looking solid, and especially how the black mask is used as a piece of evidence to catch the criminal who happened to be the assassin of a murder.

thanks for the compliment <3

Feel like there is only the illusion of choice here. I guess im mostly let down by the splash-art on the thumbnail looking amazing and the gameplay itself being very far removed from it. That said; The narrative is interesting and it is a solid interpretation of the theme!

Developer

thank you for the feedback, I understand your point of view

Good short game with a twist , nice :)

thank you for the feedback:)

kinda confusing but a pretty cool concept, a scene before taking you straight into it like a tutorial or even context to the story would be appreciated

Developer

i had a shorter period of time bc of some other stuff and im also a new developer, your feedback is extremely helpful, because i can fix these context problems and improve my game developing skills😁

of course!! i understand the struggle ive been developing for less than a year myself

This is a great idea but the only thing I can do is the witness statements. I'n not sure what else I can click...

Developer (1 edit)

you can see the witness statment, and the interrogation. you can click the red buttons and you can choose what you will say to the suspects. Appreciate the feedback :)

Ohh gotcha! Sorry about that haha. Super great work it's pretty fun!! The text can be a little bit hard to read sometimes though but it does fit the art style great!

no problem, bro, thanks for the review :)
