Cool game! You nailed the theme on this one. There is a good variety of enemies, abilities, and levels here. A couple issues I had was that projectile attacks lacked proper feedback and navigating the levels is difficult at times.

Cool take on the theme! Sacrificing health for ammo and jumps really made me calculate what I would do next. The enemies felt a bit slow, I just ran from most of them. The forest was a cool setting, I really liked the large structure in the background looming over everything. Good job!

This was great. Really well put together visually. Interesting choice to make health a resource, with the platforming in level 2 being surprisingly precise considering.

Great game, really fun.

I had some problems with the platforming on the second stage and had to stop playing, but I still liked it. (I didnt knew what to do, that was the main problem IMO)

(Also found a hole in the map.)

Good Job!

You definitely hit that 90s aesthetic. I love how much effort was put into the itch page and the character designs.

Some notes:

  • When I left the application and tried to click back into it, it wouldn't capture the mouse and I had to restart the game. This happened twice by accident.
  • The main character can get stun-locked if surrounded by a bunch of enemies. I'm not sure if there are i-frames, but if there are, maybe make them a little longer.
  • When trying to attack enemies that are grounded, I noticed that if the character wasn't exactly facing the enemy, even if the crosshair was, the attack wouldn't register. Sometimes pressing melee attack too soon before the animation finished would cancel out hits. This lead to a few deaths (ᵕ—ᴗ—)
  • A mini-map or objective markers would be a nice addition for directionally challenged players like myself, but of course that's more so personal preference.

I can tell a lot of thought was put into the development of this game and I think overall you guys did a great job! ◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜

Hello! Thank you for playing the game! Yes there are many bugs and quirks that we weren't able to fix before the submission deadline, but I'll update it soon. Thank you very much for the feedback!!
