clicker
When I first opened the game, I was like 'What is this?' haha. But then I opened the menu, the sounds kicked in, and I totally got into the vibe. I'm having a surprisingly good time right now! To be honest, I don't see much connection to the 'Wave' theme, but you managed to make something really enjoyable regardless.
Also, I laughed so hard at the GitHub link ('http://I don't have one')! 😂 Best repo ever. Congrats!
I wish there were visual effects on screen from the power ups. Nice music. I always enjoy incremental clicker games. Simple and addicting. However, it does not fit the "Waves" theme well. The game seemed unrelated to the jam theme. Still a great game and i enjoyed playing it.
Not a big fun of incremental game, bug I did addict to this one for couple of minutes.
I usually tend to enjoy these types of clicker way longer than I would like to admit. But for some reason, this one did not really click (ha!) for me.
It just lacks all the juicy and tactile animations when I click. Also, one of the key things that keep me motivated in these games are mysterious and quirky upgrades. Upgrades, that I'm graving to see what they do and how they work. This game also lacks that, as upgrades are just giving you more "points" per click or more automatic clicks. At least I appreciated the fact that I can see all upgrades straight away so I did not need to hope for interesting upgrades.
Maybe I'm not that clicker-player after all that I thought I would be.
The music is alright, but I don't see what it has to do with waves, and you haven't added any explanations, which makes it hard for me to understand. Also, the character doesn't react when you click on it. I think you could add some dynamic effects to make clicking more satisfying, like coins flying from him into my pocket.
The main thing holding this game back is its lack of an option to mute the music. The music isn't bad, but it's much too loud and unnecessary for a clicker game IMO. Some other improvements you could make: Revisit the math of the prices, and make it so subsequent items cost more the more you own. For example right now there's no point in even buying a mine, because farms are always a better deal. Also, make it so the main clicking area changes a little based on what you've bought. Lastly, make the clickable guy shrink a tiny bit when clicked, so it feels like he's been clicked.
Fun little clicker game, always a delight to play. Stuff like buy 10 would be a nice QoL. But given the prices don't increase per purchase might make sense why you wouldn't do that. Still a fun few minutes.
This is a real-time clicker casual game. Oh! It has a fully autonomous click-upgrade shop, making it perfect for stress relief and idle play, and the music is also quite rich! However, in terms of theme interpretation, it feels a bit perfunctory! Maybe try adding some interesting ripple shapes to the "click"? All in all, thank you for your submission!
