Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
The theme image of two hands almost touching inspired the idea of connection despite separation. In the game, this is embodied in the aquarium’s glass that separates the kid from the mermaid; they can see and hear each other, but they cannot touch. This distance fuels the core mechanics, as progress is made through a reciprocal exchange of abilities.
The title Antiphony, referring to a responsive alternation between musical voices, reflects the gameplay: the kid’s actions are answered by the mermaid’s reactions through movement, light, and sound.

Thank you so much for playing! We definitely did not have enough time to do playtesting but will see if we can make the game more clear for a post jam version

This game really deserves way more attention :o It’s so cool! I love the cute retro vibe, and I definitely want a sequel xd. The fixed camera, like in Resident Evil, is also a great idea.
If I had one small criticism, it’s that it wasn’t always obvious where to go to progress, but by following the walls you eventually find your way, absolutely loved it, 5/5!

The sound design is lovely, the mermaid's song reminded me of The Windwaker.

One bug I encountered was if you get caught by the security guard after passing it with the mermaid, the player spawns past the guard, but the mermaid spawns before it so you can't continue. I encountered it because I backtracked through the hallway while exploring and got caught before I even saw the guard haha. There's also a few puzzles where you can't see what exactly is changing which fixed cameras should try to leverage, but tbh it didn't really hamper the experience for me that's more of a polish thing.

Loved what your team made here! The design is elegant and the atmosphere is cohesive and nostalgic. Great job :D

Thanks for trying out the game, glad you enjoyed it :D Sorry to hear about the bug too, we definitely want to fix that and do some polish for a post jam version.

I got stuck here. Great art and atmosphere; the camera angle is uncommon, so it took some time to get used to it. Sometimes, it feels like it's hard to tell which door the switch controls. but overall, the design, delivery, and concept are all great!

Thanks for the feedback! We've uploaded a video walkthrough on the game's main page, but we'll also double check this part you shared. Thanks for playing :)

Really incredible art and design here! The main character is so precious, and the environments evoke the Animal Crossing aquariums, which is a great vibe. I also love to see fixed cameras used in a non-horror game, its a really cool tool for composition that I think is kinda unexplored in recent games! Though I wasn't able to get the mermaid to move into the larger room with the jellyfish, even with singing, and that sorta softlocked me.

Me too,it seems the mermaid stuck into the wall. But still a great job

Thanks for trying out the game, we love that you accurately figured out our references :) The jellyfish are actually meant to be an obstacle and part of a puzzle! We've added a link to our video walkthrough in case you want to try it again.
