Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
From the image presented, all of our team members collectively agreed that it represented themes of creation, closeness, hope, and loss. From there, we brainstormed game-related concepts, carefully considering our work scope, and also general expectations from game jam games, to decide on a single scene visual novel that offers a vivid exploration of each of the themes we identified.
There is also a route that features an extremely heavy-handed incorporation of the theme’s image.

A very impressively elaborate game for the short time frame! I do think you all did a remarkable good job at laying out breadcrumbs in a fairly comprehensible way. I was left with some questions regarding one of your twists, but nothing that ruins the experience. Great job.
Thank you for the lovely comment! Yes, as the narrative and design lead, the breadcrumb layout definitely required some planning and usage of a certain design tool! Hoping to post another devlog soon!
Thanks for checking out the game and leaving the comment!

Congratulations on another game with an extensive narrative (one far deeper than you'd know/expect at the start--if you didn't know anything about the team behind this game). The reward for staying and unlocking the mystery is what this studio specializes in. And I'm here for it!
As an achievement hunter, I wanted to unlock the whole snowflake/stats map despite already having received the final clue needed for the true ending. But getting there was painless thanks to the skip feature. (I just had to remember where I *hadn't* gone yet because if I wasn't careful, I could have accidentally skipped new dialogue.)
The art and music is stunning! Loved the colour palette. Loved the chilling vibes that perfectly straddle hopeful and eerie when needed. Both elements beautifully matched the overall tone and theme of the game.
Some of the dialogue even made me chuckle!! Best of luck with the jam!!
Thank you so much for ensuring jam people see your kind comment~ Glad to see you enjoyed what we put together! 😄
That was… beautiful. I can already tell you are also a fan of Yoko Taro, loved the Nier Automata inspired [E]ndings (and especially the way you incorporate those letters as the truth crystals), and the whole premise also reminded me of the start of Nier Replicant, snow in summer. Extremely well done!
I can really tell the amount of effort that went into creating a looping narrative like this, and all the pain that goes behind integrating it into a complete story. And moreover, providing an in-world justification for the design choice with the TGA condition just makes it feel even so more thoughtful. Absolutely love the game design here! One of my big wishes for the future is creating a “roguelite” interactive fiction game where the world and narrative changes everytime the player dies or ends a run, so I’m also taking notes from your work and learning ha ha!
Great work on the art, UI visuals and music from the team! Everything binds the whole essence into a thematic congruency , especially loved the way the big ice crystal provides a visual cue for the completion status to the player. The music is tense and foreboding, which greatly enhances the atmosphere. Very mature character artstyle as well, while being anime-inspired, it has its own individuality to it, so it feels unique.
Also surprise new world order reference here? 👀
Jokes aside, this was a wholesome moment after all the rejections and creep allegations the protagonist received. Leveling up stats surely does wonders, innit?
Great work from everyone in the team on delivering such a wonderful experience in such a short time, you have my best wishes! Perhaps the real bus is all those moments in which we discover ourselves and find new meaning through such experiences?
Amazing comment that's practically a review, thank you so very much for this! 😍 Yes, our protagonist certainly does a lot of growing from this "one" conversation, glad it works out for him 😂
Glad to know our work serves as learning material too because yes, this sort of game is our bread and butter now after a lot of research (gaming) and practice (releasing two games) 💪 Best of luck to you, I know your next game will be even better~
Every detail in the writing, art, music, and gameplay are all so meaningful!!! Some parts were unexpectedly funny and I quickly got attached to these characters. I love the message of hope at the end :) (also I feel like I posted a comment earlier, maybe I forgot to submit or??)
No your memory are affected by the snow as well! Get to the shelter before it is too late 😭😭 No but thanks for playing and the comment! 🥰
Thank you so much for coming back a second time, then! Yes, our team were all agreed that we wanted to give an ultimate message of hope somehow, so I am so glad that aspect of our otherwise dreary game stood out to you! 😄
Incredible completeness!! Every time you roll it back is meaningful, and this accumulating snowflake system also helps light up the narrative structure with the author's wish. Nicely done!
Thank you so much for playing!
I am in awe!! Such a wonderful short visual novel. Everything from the music, SFX, artwork, and story. It was amazing. It left me wanting more!
I aspire to create like you guys in the future. Much love!
WHOOOA ANOTHER BUS STOP VISUAL NOVEL?! Great minds think alike! 😄
Thank you so much for the high praise! 💖 As a fellow VN dev, I'll be sure to look for yours after I get through my queue!
非常独特的世界观,画风也非常喜欢。作为一个视觉小说来说非常棒!
感谢游玩!
I really love your character design and art!!!! It’s just a pity that my English isn’t very good—if possible, I’d really love to see a Chinese localized version wwwww
感谢游玩!我们团队就我一个会一点中文,水平差不多小学五年级,本地化有点难😅
Very impressive entry and unique gamification of the vision novel.
I see you have done proper research on taking transit. "When it leaves early and you have to wait an hour for the next one."
Thank you! Hahaha yes, where I live, the buses literally do that to me constantly, so sometimes it's a matter of being late, or being late after having waited in the cold for an hour first 😭
This is incredibly impressive; I was immediately struck by how rational each choice the narrator could make was... I feel like in narrative stories with branching dialogue, often, some of the dialogue is nonsensical for the sake of more choices, but every choice I could see being a logical response to the situation. The mechanic of building stats over loops is also really smart, it also ties into not having clearly right or wrong choices, but asks you to really consider and use what you have learned to make the best choice. The artwork is beautiful too! Amazing!! 5 stars!!
Thank you for 5 stars! Yes, our artist did a spectacular job in spite of time and energy limitations 💖 I hope you also enjoyed the concept art we posted in the screenshots section!
I want to say up front that I'm not the biggest visual novel fan, but I'm very impressed with this jam entry! The quantity and quality of writing and art are really impressive, even for a longer jam. I also really appreciate the quality of life features like the flow chart and skip button that help to navigate the story structure. I also like that the stat and skill check system helps to literalize the knowledge that the player gains through playing through endings. It helps to motivate progression through the game, beyond the narrative reasons to do so.
Hi, thank you for the lovely comment! I'm glad to know that the "gameplay systems" we designed for this otherwise straightforward VN were successful in motivating progression, as you said! 😄
