I loved the storytelling and I think you've got a great start here :) I just wish stuff was a bit more snappy, it was tedious to walk super long distances in a direction and simply reach nothing. Hope to see more work from you!

This a great start to an interesting game, you should definitely continue to polish it. If you're looking for ideas: I would recommend creating a menu page, instructions/tutorial, player animations, and also loop the game so when you die it brings you back to the menu page (or restarts the current level). Overall, it's a good game, way to go!
Thank you, the feedback really helps me for the future. I do intend to keep working on this project as I absolutely loved making it (eustress is still healthy even if it is stress). I had intended to have a journal system with the inventory and a few other cool things to use the pages for. The menu and onscreen tutorial/instructions were also on the list. Due to being a beginner and solo dev, I ran out of time and steam for learning ALL the things. And you read my mind with the looping, I just couldn't accomplish that with the free account's level limits. I really appreciate the feedback and will do my best to continue learning and make better games! It was fun participating anyway!
This game's atmosphere is so nice and tranquil (at least until the monsters show up). It's neat what a simple color change can do in the later levels...
I like the idea that the dangerous "bushes" are actually the monster's back spikes, just thought that was a cool detail :)
By the way if anyone is stuck on how to play, [first off, you move using the arrow keys of course], you can click on the gray walls to remove them, and you have to hit the yellow circle at the end of the horns in order to progress.
