Congrats on your #8 for the sound category! :-)

I just gotta give you 5 stars for the audio, definitely the best audio in the jam, LOL.

The gameplay is simple, and the bat doesn't seem to hurt you, only the dog, but still I was laughing the whole run. It's my kind of silly humor. Good entry!!

I thought it would be a little creepier, but the "home-made" sound effects added a layer of humour!  I like the attempt to show you moving down the twisted depth, as it disappears like a progress bar, pretty unique. Gameplay is a little bit boring, more enemies would have added some variety but I saw the comment about the bat.

Art 10/10 for the music alone XD. I'm glad you mentioned something about the flying enemy in your description because I just ended up staying under to avoid them, which helped.

Please tell me you recorded the sound I love it

Developer

Lol glad you liked it! I'm not much of a singer but I only had 5 minutes to make the sfx before going to sleep, although it turned out kinda peak tbh

I found a bug that if I stay on the screen after losing and the twisted twirl gets completed then I get a 'game won' text, I think?  I am unable to read that properly :(

Developer

Omg you're right!
The "game won" text is a event triggered by the Ground Animation, I totally forgot to pause that animation when the player dies.

Thanks for letting me know!!

I'm at work rn, but when I come back I'll fix that and play your game as well

Thanks again!

Developer

I was able to fix it from work really quick, there was also a bug that didn't play the proper ground animation, but should be working now :D

Glad I could help. Fixing bugs is my least favourite part of game dev but you resolved the issue very quickly haha
