How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
Theme (Déjà Vu): I implemented Déjà Vu as a visual "memory flash." At the start of the game and when entering the final room, the screen fades into black and white for a few seconds before returning to normal. This stylistic shift represents the protagonist recalling a past loop.

Special Object (Fruit): The game centres on the Magical Apple as the ultimate objective rather than a simple consumable. The player's goal is to fight through the dungeon to reach the Final Room and retrieve this legendary fruit. Collecting the Apple is the specific trigger that breaks the time loop and wins the game.

I feel like this game doesn’t need anything else — just new levels. Its current technical and visual state already feels like a deliberate style choice, not a project prototype.

Developer

That means a lot, thank you! I'm delighted the visual/technical style clicked for you. I'd love to explore adding more levels in the future! 🙌

Wait, have we had this conversation before? 😉 Glad the theme is clicking for you!

What game engine did you use, I have never seen it before

Developer

I used GDevelop. It's an open-source, no-code engine that I've found really great to work with. You should definitely give it a look if you haven't seen it before!

Nice audio and graphics. Its pretty hard to dogde anything tough while attacking because player can only attack sideways. Beside that GJ

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the audio and graphics. That's a fair point about the sideways attack. I'm still learning the ropes (this is my first jam ever!), so balancing the movement and combat is something I'm working on improving.
