It was a very beautiful experience. I believe that games are not only meant to entertain or fill time, but also to convey messages and evoke different emotions — and you conveyed that beautifully. To enhance the feeling of the game, the path could have been a bit more challenging, of course without disrupting the story.

So far out of all the games in the jam, this has been the only one I've actually completed start to finish. The dialogue was so captivating and beautiful. Absolutely amazing game here, and I'm glad I got to experience what you had to tell.

Beautiful pixel art pack chosen.   Well written short story.  This would be a nice cut scene.

Could be interesting to use the simultaneous, two-character movement mechanic for some enemy interactions along the way.  Maybe each character could do a different attack at the same time...

"Remember when that highwayman tried to rob us and we used kung fu to dispatch him..."

Very well written!

walk right and read some text is hardly a game, don't you think? could be really good if expanded upon, like an it takes two thing where you're platforming together with your partner and then plot twist she was dead the whole time

This game hit me really hard. A short but meaningful story. A great experience.

Dang, this game is surprisingly beautiful and heartbreaking for such a small project. The art is charming, the way they walk together is cute, and the narrative gave my heart a heavy pang. Thank you!

the artwork is beautiful holy moly. its not necessarily a type of game i would play, but i love the meaning and story you crafted. if anything, i would love to see more interactivity with the nature or maybe a lava boy/water girl type of gamestyle... overall great job!

Short yet extremely beautiful. The artwork is stunning. I knew what was coming, but still it touched me deeply. It's important to enjoy every single occasion we have in life. Really beautiful game, great job you two!
