It’s a cute little demo, I enjoy the art. I acknowledge it’s part of the incompleteness of the game but the enemies aren’t very threatening and can be slowly maneuvered around before you move forward, would love to see the concept explored further with enemies that require different tactics or maybe some kind of puzzle to solve utilizing the ink. Good work on getting a game out!

Great art and a very interesting core mechanic.

I really enjoyed takoing my way around, inking and defeating enemies.

Definitely an ina-teresting concept to keep building on top of it!

For such a simple idea it works surprisingly well. There's some many interesting directions you could take this concept. Hope you flesh out this game eventually!

Good job on submitting your project!

Short and simple game with cute character art.

Some improvement suggestions:

- Make sure you set the end screen text to the appropiate result by using flags. It's either game over or level complete but not both! XD

- Sound effects would be nice. There are plenty of free sound effect libraries you can use!

- In its current state, the "combat" feels very relaxing. If the intention was to make the combat challenging, I suggest increasing the movement speed a bit, to keep you on your toes when running away from the enemies.

I hope you consider continuing work on this project to share your complete vision of the game!

thanks for the suggestions. I tried doing the project only on tablet but gave up the last few days (well the real reason is i'm just lazy).

I'll definitely continue it but it'll have to wait until I learn how to properly work with the engine. Its simple and easy but its a bit frustrating and finicky to use compared to general ones like godot.

Congrats on putting this out!The visual stylization look great, I love the inky look you did for the sprites.

Ambience category represents both visual and audio. There are plenty of royalty free music out there for your usage, you can find one and implement it into your game in about 30 mins. Don't let the lack of music bring down your ambience points for your game!

Gameplay is interesting. I think it can turn into something great with more time in the oven. Thanks for making this!

Would be great to see you come back after the judging period and flesh the game out!

Probably going to score low, but the important thing is getting an idea made and put out there, anyways.

Good work!

It's a shame that its unfinished.

Like the idea! Sad that it doesn't really have the theme of the jam with time pressure or sth like that in it tho.

Submitted

Interesting concept but definitely unfinished! I think making the game a bit faster with both the player and the enemy movement could make it more fun. Like a fast paced action-puzzle or something. The level select doesn't work on my end either. But there is something there for sure!

Cute game! It does feel unfinished, maybe adding some sounds, a timer and points would improve the gameplay!
