This game has a lot of personality. I found it in the music and the graphics, which are great. I think that the tumbleweeds work great, but the flying bottles doesn't, there's not enough space of view to predict them. Positioning the player on the left or simply increasing the view size could be solutions. Try to diversify the gameplay in future iterations and expand the mechanics, I think there's a lot of unexplored potential in runner games.
Good job!
I think the game needs way more field of view to actually dodge anything. Also, what is even going on with the music?..
Cool game! Reminds me of old endless runners. However, the obstacles need a bit more thought put into them. The player has no limit on how long they can slide, which encourages you to simply keep the player in the slide position at all times to avoid those. For the tumbleweeds, having the weed come from behind and stopping really throws off the timing for the jump. Also, if you mistime the jump over the tumbleweed and end up in the air when getting hit by it, the game will not show the game over screen and will instead softlock until restarted.
Thanks! The game did need a lot more fleshing out, but if the four of us come back to it in the future, we'll fix the bugs and hopefully make much better!
