This has improved a lot since my first playthrough, really good work! I think the tutorial was a really good addition! This is really polished, and I enjoyed this a lot! The customisation really added to the gameplay, and made every decision feel more impactful.
I liked this game. One of the few games where you managed to blend customization with the gameplay without sacrificing one or the other. Great job. I liked that you could keep the critters too.
Good way to incorporate the customizations. This was fun.
Really love the concept, the bullet hell was actually really well made, and the customizations were really cool too!
Thanks for playing!
Had a blast playing this one :D but YT doesn't allow me to upload my playthrough lol :D
In short - I like the gameplay and I really liked the shop mechanics.
Some notes if you are planning to develop it for future rounds:
1. Some items in the shop are "better" than the others without visible trade-offs. maybe I missed something but sometimes I saw same price but more damage for example.
2. I wish I could use shop more than once - for example if I want to keep more critters and then sell them at once and I'll have more money to spend. Also the reputation might be helpful stat here - you keep critters => more rep => better long term sell (as an example)
I like the vibes of the game ;)
Thanks, yes the shop needs some work so yeah who knows what I might do for round 2 ;)
I wonder wat did YT found in my playthrough :D :D
maybe you were a bit more nude than originally planned at the start?
I enjoyed this game, I think the bullet hell experience was well put together. I really liked the dual customizations of both the enemies you are facing in the arena and the player. Some thoughts I had on customizations: I wish the changes felt more substantial, either by displaying which changes are active or more impactful effects. I also wish I could add more creatures to the arena, or that there was more risk/reward with getting money at the expense of a more challenging arena.
Thanks for playing! Most things you mention are in the game but maybe not clear enough. More critters means more money, normally you gain 20 for selling but you get +10 for each active critter. Also adding more critters is possible but you need certain upgrades to do so, flesh helmet for example gives an extra set of eyes so you can keep an extra critter.
Great game! I really enjoyed the critter taming mechanic and I liked the character upgrades, the flesh shield is a great idea as is many others. I’ve already finished two playthroughs and love the infinite replayability. My only critique is that it can get a little confusing when your critter’s projectiles look the same as the other critters projectiles you are fighting against
Still as good as the first time I played it. Well done! All the animations, and art feel really good together. Can't wait to see you in round 2!
Thanks as always, you better make it to the dev vs dev round with me :)
Awesome work! Really impressive and creative :)
The tutorial helped a lot.
I really like the win and gain of keeping critters, well done!
Damn this is really creative. Loved it!
I enjoyed the gameplay!
I didn't see a way to dismiss my critters to try the other ones out without restarting.
The vampire survivors style customization was a bit rng-heavy for me, but it was good to see the effects on gameplay.
The aesthetic, music, and sounds were cohesive, but a bit bare.
I liked the clarity of the UI, nice job!
Thanks so much for playing!
There is a sell critter button when you get the choice to sell or keep another, you can only keep a certain amount based on upgrades.
The sound design does need some work. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice for challenge runs, where the player attempts to play with a specific loadout.
this is very unique, the merging of bullet hell and creature and upgrade management is interesting, can't wait to see where you take it in round 2, would defenetly play!
I would appreciate it if you check mine out.
Hi, thanks for playing. I'll play yours when I got time but I already playtested it. I know its going to be good :)
This was an excellent game! Actually had me playing it for more time than I intended simply because I found it fun, great work! Doesn't feel too inline with the theme though
Hi, thanks for playing! I saw the customization more in a roguelike way where every run is played differently based on the upgrades you build on your character.
