10/10 game, amazing work! Very cool to see you around again! You always seem to go above and beyond!

Developer

That's so nicely said, thank you and yess let's do this again!

I don't know which part is more fun. Chopping up the beautiful corpses, or decorating my christmas tree corpse. I don't know how you even made this work, but you killed it. The slices feel so accurate to what I'm drawing. Great job, 10/10

Infinite. You could say, divide each face into their parts (hair eyes etc.) and a little swatch of skin for color you can assume 8 parts per guy. So 56 choices with 8 ish options would be 1,420,494,075.  8 seems about fair, but even those will have enough variance to be "unique".

Thank you! Just between us two, most of the game is pretty basic, the hardest part was programming the cutting mechanics. I spent 80% of time just learning how to copy pixels from one sprite to another :')

Submitted

I'd be in the same boat. Very impressive stuff

Submitted(+1)

What a great experience! It was very refreshing seeing this concept, and definitely one of the most creative.

I loved the skin-taking mechanic. It was a bit hard to understand at first as I thought I have to slice the corpse instead of circling it. However, everything flows nicely otherwise. I especially like how you created distinct characters, not just recolours of each other.

I think the game could benefit a bit with some control refactors: scroll wheel for the scaling is great; however, leaving the right mouse for rotation and giving only one direction slowed down customization by a bit. Maybe giving some of these actions to the keyboard could help?

Great job!

Developer

You're making a good point, I didn't really have time to think about controls that much but I guess it'd been easy to implement keyboard controls to make it easier. I'll definitely do that if I'll end up continuing this game! Thank you very much for your feedback!

Cool idea! Look at this handsome fella!

Developer

It's a little gobling!

Submitted(+1)

This is awesome haha! Build-a-bear but upgraded. The art is well done, and clearly, the customizations are endless. Really had fun making my own piccaso art!

Funny :D

Is there a way to actually "clean the mess"? :D :D :D I noticed that sometimes I want to throw some "unnecessary pieces" away :D

Developer(+1)

Not really, but you can try to clean something by moving the pieces outside the borders. Thank you for playing, can't believe what you did to the poor yellow guy tho :D

Submitted

Lol ye, I was trying to understand how the mechanics work 😅

Submitted(+1)

Just adored the creations and the skeleton sprites with :0 mouths

PS: I just realized you were behind Descartes Animal Machine! (loved that and this!)

Thank you for a great game! Was fun to play live!

I just watched this video actually, I was really happy to see you playing this & your comments made me smile, thank you! It's nice to see some people from the previous year, I also remember your cat slime games and still enjoy that art style of yours. I really want to see more of your games in the next round!

Submitted(+1)

🥳🥳🥳 hope we make it through!

Submitted(+1)

It's cool, it has a lot of different functionality, but I'm afraid of my creations.

Developer

Do not worry, they can't hurt you. Yet.

Submitted(+1)

A very unique, creepy, and cool character customizer!

I'd be very interested to see what kind of game it would fit into.

Submitted(+1)

It's a really cool mechanic chopping bits off other bodies and putting them together on another. The drawings are excellent and it was super easy to make something unique

Developer(+1)

This looks almost like a decent human being, or as decent as possible with those bodies :D Good job! And thank you for your kind words

Submitted

Great game, loved it!

Submitted(+1)

I had a similar idea so it was super satisfying to see this. Being able to trim the piece a little more would have been handy but definitely not necessary.

Developer

I thought about it and now that I think about it more, maybe I could've implemented it. I was actually worried there'd multiple games like this but luckily, I dodged a bullet. Would've still wanted to see your version of this!

Submitted

FWIW, I was thinking a doppelganger/mimic-thing in the old west. You rob banks, commit crimes, etc and magically steal people’s features to not get caught (probably the dead ones from the shootout) but you also need to avoid looking too much like the other bandits in the wanted posters in the towns you travel to.

Submitted(+1)

A creative and gross entry, nice job!

Thinking about where this could go, maybe a funeral home / morgue lost a body, and your goal is to trick the next-of-kin by assembling one that looks like them so the blunder isn't discovered?

The art was well done, and the corpses were funny!

Developer(+1)

That could be fun actually, like you get a photo of a body and have to reconstruct it. Wow I really like that actually. Do not sue me if I'll end up exploit this in the future lol

Submitted

Haha of course it's yours, go wild! (I'll play it)

Submitted(+1)

An interesting way to customize

Submitted(+1)

Wow this is really cool, wish I had a bit more control over the layering but I might have just missed something. Well, done!

Submitted(+1)

Wow! A really creative approach to the task.  I was missing the sound, but the unique idea made up for it. Great Job!

Submitted(+1)

This was so creative! I really like the freedom you gave the player, cool way to cut out as well.

Submitted(+1)

I love how much freedom this gives you to create unique characters. Well Done!
