One of the best intros this jam for sure. I see the speedrun vision and adore the art style. That biboo is adorable. Hope you fully flesh it out after the jam is done. I’ll gladly pick this back up.

Pretty cool game idea. The first stage ahs pretty cool soudns and visual, the humour is good too. I like the cinematic and effects. The camera constantly glitched into the terrain props and buildings for me and stage 2 had no sound.
I think it would be cool if you updated it post-jam.
The base game is already a great start to continue this. I really liked the art style for this and the sound effects. The camera though was probably the biggest detriment. The camera collider and code for keeping the player visible really makes it hard to do some platforming since it would clip into the boxes or go straight into Biboo if you're too close to the boxes or the walls. It made it hard to figure out how to get out or where to go. It might make more sense to do a silhouette shader that shows the player behind the obstacles so the camera doesn't jump around as much. There's also some physics issue if trying to jump against the boxes that makes it so you can't jump at your full height. I got stuck between boxes for a bit due to it. If you fix those two issues, you have a very solid speedrun game.
The art style is impressive. Even though I’m not very good at platformers, I still enjoyed it—thanks!
Biboo's voice lines adds a really nice touch to the game.
There is also a minor issue where the tutorial for using the super jump would appear but the timer doesn't stop. So a few milliseconds are wasted trying to close it.
Art is great love the bouncy car! And the beeps soundbites are funny. For some reason all the sound disappeared for me on the second level lol. But the gameplay feels pretty good! Would love to see the game expanded upon!
Nice proof of concept, physics are on the wonky side but I managed to beat both levels. Art style is already great.
This is a good example of why I always separate geometry from visuals. The geometry in this game is annoyingly fiddly. For example, I wouldn't expect to have to jump to get on the sidewalk from a crosswalk. Other than that it bugged on the tutorial screen, so I had to exit and go back in. I also think a game that's this in-your-face about the speed and timer really should have better indications of where to go. On the first stage it felt like both direction were a dead end because there was no indication that I was supposed to already be thinking about how to get around obstacle. Then on the second stage I went in all three directions and found only dead ends.
EDIT: I was told to try to be more clear and look for phrasing in my comments that could be misunderstood. Let me clarify that by "separate geometry from visuals" I didn't mean that in any value sense. I mean literally in code, whenever I can I try to separate the two. I don't know how easy or hard that is in Godot, though, but in the case of level geometry some way of smoothing jagged bits or rendering things as just visual detail is usually a good idea.
Unfortunately graphics were bugged for me for some reason, I only saw random flickering the whole time beyond the UI elements.
It’s a really cute game. I started out thinking, “Just one more round,” and ended up laughing when Bibu broke the window and fell. The character was adorable, and the sound effects fit perfectly. Each map also had collectible elements, which made exploring fun. I wish there were more stages, but I really enjoyed playing it.
Very cool work on the Biboo 3D model!
I also liked the little Biboo noises you included and the short but effective intro sequence!
The movement is pretty good and the powerups are nice!
The levels felt vibrant and alive with the bouncy cars and people. Visually it's very good.
Some improvement points:
- Add a skip intro button.
- Pause the timer when a tutorial pops up!
- More levels! XD
In the second level I got tunnel vision and it took me a few tries to realize there was a path to the side. I think I sent Biboo into incoming traffic at least 10 times. XD
However, after I cleared the game once using the second powerup, I retried my "go into traffic" strategy and boom! I got a new record time!

Very fun game! I hope you consider adding the rest of the levels later!
I really like the skeleton here, if you're able to come back and polish it up and finish the story after the jam, I think this could be great!
Starting off with the good, I really love the artstyle, feels very 2000 to me, reminded me of JSR and Katamari. I think the premise is fun, speed running platformers are normally a pretty safe bet. Love that you were able to make a version of Bijou's new model, (though I hope that wasn't what ended up leading to the lack of time to finish the rest of the game...), and I hope that you can expand the power up system to include more cool abilities, the effects on them already look really nice, so it'd be cool to see what else you could come up with. And speaking of effects, the SFX are pretty good too.
That does segue me into where I think this project could grow some more - the pebble collection system is fun, but I don't think there was any special effects when picking up a pebble compared to a power up (cant go back and check since I got them all - even after deleting the file and re-extracting the zip) , its a small thing, but its also an optional system that the player should be rewarded for interacting with, even if its just a special jingle. The in air movement feels a little too sluggish for some of the precision movements needed to get the gold medals on the missions, so that could either be tweaked, or the time could be reduced, and some additional SFX for meeting those requirements would be awesome, seeing as you're already tracking the best times, a check in the end screen comparing the values should be quick. Lastly, the timer still counts up even when the game is paused, which is not great, to say the least.
But like I said, I think there's some great bones here, so it sucks that you ran out of time, would be cool to come back and see if you've added more content in the future, because there's definitely a niche here, and I'm sure Biboo would love to check it out on stream! Good work!
this game is pretty peak, it's hilarious and the sound effects are too good...
