This was a cute entry!

I recommend making the color pickers only change the character and not the UI elements, as it can make the buttons unreadable.

What would the game end up being, a platformer? Would the hats change the gameplay?

The music and art really worked nicely together, good work!

isn't he beautiful? The hat stacking is amazing. If I counted the number of hats correctly, then I think you have 2.1e15 different combinations. Which is the highest number I've gotten so far. I think by default I must give 5 stars for the most amount of hats. (which are all hand drawn, and so distinct. That must have taken ages. Wow. Well done) 

As someone who gets car sick, the animation just moving the body and not the eyes was a little hard for me to get through but I did enjoy making my Doug Dimmadome owner of Dimmsdale Dimmadome hat boi lol

If you continue the game, maybe showing the tick boxes then, once they're clicked, showing the arrows to change the hats. I didn't notice them at first and thought they didn't work until I got to the bottom arrows.

First one to take the customization a bit into the meta-level. Shame the "game" wasn't there as the customizer is a bit short of an experience. Hopefully we'll see it eventually.
