Impressive art, both visually and musically, the gameplay loop is fun and addictive, but it could be a little bit more challenging.
Also, sometimes I couldn’t upgrade or buy troops even though I seemed to have sufficient ressources, it is weird.
Good game, simple and addictive gameplay, very beautiful graphics and non-annoying sound design
I really enjoy the style and atmosphere of this game, I think it's done really well, especially considering the time limit. The gameplay loop is fun too, although it definitely would've benefitted in either having more variation in enemy types or just requiring more thought in the troops you pick, since I never really felt any sense of danger or threat throughout the levels.
This one is AWESOME! The art was beautiful and the gameplay was super fun and addicting. Felt so good to level up all my troops to the maximum and decimate the enemies. Great job!!
Really impressive game in such a short time. The visuals are great. The sound and the music work well, but personally, I would prefer more variation. I like the incremental aspect of the game, but the impact of the upgrades feels a bit useless after a certain amount. Apart from that, it's a great game with a very good atmosphere.
The visuals and atmosphere was great, incredible work in just a short time frame for the jam. I really liked your use of texture, especially in the background. If its fine to ask, what software was used to create the art?
Thanks! Its Gimp
I count at least 16 colours in the attached screen grab of the first scene.
While it might not have *much* impact on the visual impact provided, it isn't fair to rate this the same as other games where the dev's spent a good amount of time and effort in ensuring their graphics abided to the 1 bit constraint which this jam is named for.
Think this is the third game in a row that broke this constraint this evening.
Two colors are used here + post-processing, which is allowed by the rules
This is not 1 bit, nor was your last game you submitted to b1t jam. Macrow should have pointed this out to you.
Need to turn anti-aliasing off.
What does post-processing have to do with anything? Show me where that rule is written.
I hope you're joking)
I hope you can count past 1?
XD
Link, anyone can write. Post-processing without context is just delivering junk mail.
What a fun gameplay loop, very involving. I didn't think I would enjoy it at first because of its incremental nature, but then I just kept clicking away. I even developed strategies, like I found it more beneficial to target the shooters first because it was easier to keep them out of range or their shots on my infantry.
Very immersive atmosphere with ambient sound and beautiful art that reinforces it. Could play this for much, much longer.
The visuals of this game are stunning! The presentation is just incredible. The bounciness of the UI, and the collecting of materials are very satisfying. The clicking however didn't feel very impactful, because of the lack of click upgrades and limited click speed. I think it could be fun for clicking to feel like a powerful single-target tool. So while your army of machines fight off hordes of enemies, you try to focus on the strongest enemy. I think this concept, sort of an incremental Battle Cats, has a lot of potential, and it could be fleshed out in a lot of interesting ways! Great work :)
The art and animations are amazing! I liked the game but found it a bit too easy. Once you had a swarm of robots you could take on anything in your path. I would love to see more content!
The graphics are simply amazing
Thanks!
Incredible work! There’s a clear direction here both style-wise and gameplay-wise. It’s already really solid, but there truly is so much more you could flesh out with a game like this!
Thanks! Please rate the game on the main page if you don't mind
The art is out of this world (literally), the gameplay is fun, it gets a bit repetitive with time but I think with enough work and more variety and maybe upgrades to the mouse click (it's not a lot of fun clicking an enemy like 20 times until it died) it can become a great game. Good job!
Thank you! Please rate the game on its main page if it's not too much :D
Very neat, I wish there were more distinct ways of getting each of the resources. I also think the buy menu could add a count of how many of each type you have actively deployed. Very fun number go up game!
Thanks!
