Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
When the team saw the image for the theme, we thought about creator-creation relationships and reaching for connections. This led us to make a game about a mother-daughter dynamic where they’re just shy of understanding each other. We decided that the main mechanic will follow the visualization of intrusive thoughts, emotional pressure, and the difficulty of being honest with someone you love.

To be honest, just the opening situation already started to make me feel breathless...

The atmosphere is incredibly oppressive and real. It perfectly captures that specific anxiety of being with a difficult family member. The immersion was instant.

That's why it was such a shame when I hit a bug on the Web version where the game wouldn't transition to the choice selection phase (I was unable to click any options), so I couldn't progress. I was so invested in that suffocating feeling and really wanted to see the end!

This was a very beautiful experience! I think the theme is very relatable and was presented in a brilliant way. The way the dialogue would cover the screen really gave the feeling of being in a difficult situation where you can't express yourself to someone who should give us unconditional love. The music and art style complimented this perfectly. I encountered the UI bug but was able to proceed after restarting twice and it looks like you're already aware of that. I think it would be cool if there was some kind of sound distortion effect when the main character begins to get overwhelmed but overall it was a wonderful experience. Thanks for making this game!

Such a beautiful game in all aspects. The music, voice acting, artwork, its amazing! I love the visualization of overthinking and uncertainty of how to go about the conversation. I wish I could keep playing! Keep up the amazing work.

The visuals and gameplay are amazing! I love the feature where it shows all of the thoughts the daughter wishes she could say as it really helps the narrative of her feeling unheard (like the title!) the voice acting was a really great touch and the art and UI was also amazing! However, the fourth dialogue option will not let me get past no matter which option I choose before- I'd love to be able to play more of it!

Writing this based off the re-upload, but loved the concept of intrusive thoughts being a visual and gameplay design choice, and the simplicity of the character and background art keeps it from being messy or hard to understand. Waiting for the game to allow me to make choice almost made it feel like the protagonist insists on always letting the mother finish speaking first, so I wonder if there was a conscious design choice in not allowing the player to click an option and like...literally interrupt her? Maybe the protagonist can't bear to behave like that, in which case, that would be a really deeply meaningful design choice you made here!

Hi!!! I'm KT, one of the devs. I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed the game! The choice to not allow the player to interrupt the mother was very intentional. We wanted to portray the mother as overbearing in their relationship so much so that she never even notices the child's submissiveness.  A huge narrative goal was to portray the feeling of intimidation the child has through all aspects of the game, not just dialogue.

Thank you so much for playing our game! We are still working on bug fixes, and we really appreciate this feedback!

Excellent, I'm glad that I was right on the money! 😄 Perhaps you could even make that intention more clear by having some feedback effect when you attempt to interrupt, but can't? It would really connect the frustration of the child with the player's actual frustration haha

Best of luck with bug fixes, and kudos for continuing the development grind after the jam!

would've rated higher, but could not continue after 5ish rounds of dialogue.

I want to like this but it stops responding at some points. Sometime I restart and I can advance a bit more but there's something clearly not working right.

The atmosphere is great, and the voice acting really elevates it. With choices coming at you one after another, I was immediately drawn into this suffocating emotional state.

The art style well supports the emotional atmosphere. The use of voiceover adds a lot of intimacy and weight to the experience. What stood out to me the most is how the UI interaction itself aligns so closely with the story’s core idea: the difficulty of speaking, the hesitation, and the emotional blockage. The text fills the screen, and you have to wait for the mom to finish speaking before you can click, even though in your mind, you already have so many responses. That interaction design itself is the experience, and it fits the emotional intent of the story very well.

This game expresses the jam theme that is about wanting to reach out, but not quite being able to in a delicate and thoughtful way.

I'm unable to click on anything. I think you need to check for bug, did you have a raycast layer blocking the interactables?
