I've never played this genre before but I'd say this was a fun introduction,  I can definitely see the appeal. I didn't really get what the difference between the attacks are besides damage and attack range

The theme of Character Customization was integrated wonderfully

Developer

I am glad you liked it , it is inspired by darkest dungeon quite a bit . I highly suggest it trying it if you ever have the chance .

I liked that the customizations had effects from stats to attacks on the character which played in the combat portion.Good job.

Thank you for a great game! Was fun to play live! Got stuck in a loop as you can see, but the concept and execution was amazing, cool UI stuff on the cards!

Thank you for playing there where quite a few things I had to fix but I am glad you liked it . Also as you had said yeah it is inspired by darkest dungeon

This is gameplay wise my favorite game, I like the way you obtain parts and build your character. I'd love to see you to make this even bigger and better so I could play it some more. Great work! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying out the game , I am really glad you liked it and yeah I plan to expand it in the later rounds or even in between the rounds . So I hope to see you try it again when that happens.

I noticed a bug where once you die, the enemies take unlimited turns. Not the end of the world, but, thought it's worth mentioning.

Everything else looks great! I think there are some things to make it "better", but as it is, this is a really clean entry. Great job!

Thank you for playing and for providing feedback and yeah that was a bug that I hadn't noticed in the final build .

Cool visuals and combat, is it a bug that you can't customize your character at the start of the game?

Developer

Thank you for the positive feedback and no I guess I didn't think that it would be confusing and that was a big oversite on my part but the customization is the body parts you get from the enemies you kill at the end of each dungeon run . The only bug currently is that the day counter doesn't increase thus the dungeon tier/level doesn't increase either and you don't get to fight or loot some of the higher tier enemies

Vibes are on top!

It was really satisfying to customize the character, it was nice to try and find the most optimal build.

It was unique that you used your enemies parts, I liked that!

Well done :D

Thank you for trying my game , I am really glad you liked it.

I liked the gameplay, nice entry!

I noticed that when my character died, the enemies would just attack forever instead of ending the battle.

It was a bit unclear which types would unlock which attacks, I thought I lost some attacks between rounds even without changing the character.

The music and aesthetic were nice, the sfx were a bit rough.

The ui felt responsive and intuitive.

Developer

Oh I guess thats another bug , that I didnt notice in the final build which is a bit unfortunate , there was also a bug where the day counter doesn't increase thus the dungeon tier/level doesn't increase either and you don't get to fight or loot some of the higher tier enemies . But I am glad you liked it and thank you for the feedback.

I loved the vibe, our entries are similar, we think alike, the cards and unlockable parts idea is pretty good, and nice drawn art, I love it! Good Job!

I would appreciate it if you check mine out.

Reading the other comment helped me understand better, as this was about customization more than game I would have added some arbitrary customizations at the start I was confused when I couldn't change my character. I liked what you made the music and bone sounds were great and looks to be the start of a cool game.

Cool idea! I wanted to do something similar with mine (updating the stats for the customization chosen but didn't have time). I also loved that certain enemies seemed to be defeated easier with different attacks.

I will say it was a little hard to know which things I acquired in the dungeon so if you continue this project, maybe a little exclamation or something by the pieces you now have. Also, since the player can't actually customize anything at the start of the game, letting them skip the customization scene and jumping straight to the dungeon makes more sense.

Thanks you for the feedback , it helps a lot . I was little tight on due to uni but I will try to improve it in between the rounds as much as possible .

Totally get the real life  work/uni restrictions, I work in Hospice care and work 27 hours straight one day a week so I didn't have time to make mine perfect either. Great game otherwise though, you got a lot done with it.
