It was fun, it looks great, I just had difficulty realizing what the targets were. I got barrels and training dummies, but I also tried with boxes, crystals etc. Others already mentioned mouse sensitivity, can also confirm it was a bit high :)
Pretty cool. My mouse was waaaaay to sensitive though so I found it really hard to just get to the end.
This was a fun mini game. I think it fit well in the main game because it was easy to play. The level was a bit busy, so it was kinda hard to tell what the best path might be. You get points for destroying stuff and there's also a finish line. Those two things kinda feel contradictory. Do I cross the finish line to get a faster time? Or do I stay away from the line and spend the extra time destroying more things to boost my score? Maybe beating the timer gives you more points than destroying stuff? Because this is a simple game, maybe doing one or the other would make more sense. Either way, it was fun to play! Good job!
Thanks for feedback, yes a faster time awards more points, so people can choose to spend time trying to get more points or race through to get points, or a mix of both, different strategies can yield different results.
Nice. I dig the vibes youve got going on here. The music, the art, even the background on the itch page are all very cool and cohesive.
One thing I didnt like was sensitive the mouse was. Maybe that's on my end but it was very touchy for me. I did play a few times and figured out more as I want through. For a single play mini game style event, this was hard to know exactly what to do and execute it all in the allotted time.
I really like it but the targets weren't obvious to me on my first run through as I was so focused on other stuff. With a little work on a quick tutorial it would have been really sick.
I tried not to read other commenters post before commented and now I read it but still going to post what I wrote :p
Good game Calcoa!
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
Wow! Very cool! I really liked that there was a dummy and barrel in the "lobby" to practice on before getting into the level. I really liked exploding all the barrels, especially at the end, and I liked the shooting mechanic/cool down timer. Maybe my mouse sensitivity was too high, but I felt a bit of whiplash moving the camera when I first got into the game. It would be nice to add a mouse sensitivity adjustment slider in further development. I was also a bit confused by the scoring and the scoring colors on screen. Would like a bit more explanation upfront, and the explanation at the end to be simpler. When I collected diamonds green numbers would pop up, then when I destroyed things or ran into crystals red numbers would pop up. However the instructions say that destroying things will give me points, so I'm not sure the significance of the color coding, or if running into crystals is actually kinda good as long as I watch my hp? I'm not familiar with what FoN means, maybe I would understand more if I knew XD.
Thanks for playing my game. I errored on the side that it was meant for min game, so was trying to keep instructions as light as possible. The numbers are related to player health only, although it now makes sense to me that having scores as a popup number would make more sense in this mini games context, wish I would have thought of that, thanks! Also because of the mini game aspect, I "hid" the options as I didn't want to distract the player before they went through course, but I totally agree a mouse sensitivity is something I would love to be available in most cases.
