Loved it, the music and the art are amazing :D

For me at least, when the game is not full screen, it cuts off part of the game left and right.

Developer

yeah that's right its ment to be played full screen im not really sure how to make it so it scales right with every resolution yet.

Nice remake of Pac-Man! I have a couple of suggestions. The enemies don't kill you, but they take points away, maybe show a "-10" pop up (or whatever they take away) so the player knows they're doing something. I wasn't sure what the bread did, maybe it gave you more points? If so, same thing "+10" appears above the bread when you get it so you want to get more of them. Unlike pac-man, you couldn't exit one side of the screen and enter the other side. I wasn't sure why the map was set up to look like you could. So I would either change the map so it doesn't go off the screen or I would allow the player to move between sides. My one last piece of feedback would be to change what the game says to the player depending on their score. This looks pretty funny: "You did really good! -479"
Great job on the mini game!

Cool game Zoek! When I was working on my game I was really focused on making sure it was obvious immediately what the player was supposed to do. I think you did that really well in this game and I think because of what the event was that was important. I dig the music speeding / pitching up to build the intensity.  I would have liked some other little thing to be able to "outplay" or defeat the enemies so I could have felt a little more competitive since it was for the mini game jam event.

Developer

thank you!

Nice! I would have liked seeing my score go up on collecting coins/bread, and losing some when getting hit. I'm the type of player who skims the instructions, then completely forgets about them once the game has started. So I had to go back to the instructions to see what the enemies do to me when they hit. It wasnt clear to me from the ingame feedback alone.

The music slaps. I had fun! Well done!

Love the music on this one! The duck and it's waddle is really adorable. I really like the eating bread concept. It would be awesome to eventually put in the map looping mechanism. As a terrible Pac-Man player, looping to run away was always my go-to hahaha.

hahaha i thought of this but i thought it would be more challenging if you cant do this 😜
