Very cool idea! I liked launching the fireworks and seeing what all the ingredients did!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Cool idea, i like the vibe with the music and sound effect. With some tutorial and more possibility it could be a cool game. Congrats.

Developer

Thanks!

Pros:

The selection of parts and colors was good. The firework animation was well done. The background music was pleasantly calming.

Cons:

At first, I didn't realize I had to press right to select the parts. I think the second selection isn't displayed for the fireworks. At least, I only ever saw two parts.

Nice little project. Well done.

Cool! A very unusual theme for a game! I really hope the game will develop in future rounds.

Developer(+1)

Yes, much more game to come. Customizer have me a bigger headache then expected, so much more actual gameplay to come!

I feel a Walter White meme is relevant here. Thanks for playing!

Wow such a fun idea!

Trying out different combinations felt really great and the explosions in the end were really beautiful!

Honestly great job, such a solid game.

Developer

Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Neat idea to customize fireworks and I like the vibe from the art and music

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed! Thanks for playing!

Nice work! I think my main suggestion would be to start with a drawer open and color the handles differently. Clicking the fuse was a really nice touch. I spent enough time trying out combos to find that the music doesn’t loop (not that it affects the score, just noting it).

Developer

Ah. Dang. I forgot to click the loop button. Thanks for catching that. I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

Fun making all the different variations of fireworks. Good concept and a relaxing game.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

It took me two whole minutes to realize those drawer handles were something to interact with lol. I was about to give up but the fact that the thumbnail is not the default firework made me try to click all buttons on my keyboard and spam on the screen.

I think a visual diagram of what each part is and does would help a lot. I was just pressing random things not knowing what they’d do. So I think by aiding the player in getting a mental model of the thing works you make it a lot more fun, and it also affords the ability to plan, which is a big part of fun (in hindsight it’s a crucial failing of my own entry too lol). That said i really enjoy the concept!

Developer

Yes, tutorial is much needed here. It would make the handles issue trivial lol. I do have that planned, but making it exist took more time than I thought. Thanks for playing, and thanks for the thoughtful feedback!

I think a short text on the game page could substitute well for now ;)

Very cool idea to have Fireworks be your "Character"!
I hope in the future that you can make even more firework varients, maybe even sequences and special effects like for example the Fireworks show in Dubai!

Developer

I'll have to look up the Dubai show to see, but I think we might be on the same wavelength. Thanks for playing!

Very unquie take and well implemented.  At first confusing but loved the results when get to see diff fireworks.

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed!

Really creative concept for a cozy game: the idea of designing a fireworks show is really neat, and customization is naturally at the center of that. Super fitting for the theme, and awesome game!

Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed!

A nice and cozy entry to the jam. Really enjoyed this one. A firework sim was something I always wanted to develop myself, but somehow never got around to doing. Nice job :)

Developer(+1)

I hope it didn't disappoint! After seeing what you came up with this round, I'd be very interested to see your take on this concept!

Submitted(+1)

Definitely not disappointed <3

This was so relaxing to play. Did you make the music by yourself? Not gonna lie, I might just pull it off on my guitar.

Developer

I did not. Here's the link to the artist I used.  https://freesound.org/people/Destructo20/

It’s nice fireworks simulation kinda thing. theres are lot of customization options too.

overall its good relaxing experience.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad that I hit the cozy game vibe. That was my number 1 goal for this round. Thanks for playing!

It's chill. I kinda enjoy changing elements and checking all the changes. Some more polish on the visual and this will become a cool game. Great work !

Developer(+1)

Thanks! There's definitely a long way to go. Just hope we're on the journey together!

Submitted

Me too. Great to have a new friend on the journey ( ^v^ )/

Its pretty unique idea, it might become some chill game.

Developer

That's the goal! Glad it felt cozy for you. Thanks for playing!

I load 3 things, only get 2 explosions :D its like a normal bad deal when buying fireworks in real life ;p

I like the very unique idea of the theme. Very chill game.

sooo i suppose we will make one of those fireworks boxes next? that shoots stuff in a sequel. Or code drones to do something wild?

Developer

I hadn't thought of different setups to be honest. A "cake" (what the box of lots of them are called) is a great idea. A drone show is also a good idea. Might be out of scope because I'll basically have to recreate pythons turtle library. Or at least a way to use turtle in godot. Not sure when, but both ideas are good enough to try!

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback!
