I think this was a cool game. It was a unique take on the customizing the character challenge and I liked that. I will say it seemed more of a mechanic than a true character customizer especially since you have to change some of the characters to a certain size/gravity/jump to complete the platforming. Makes it more puzzle than choice. Still a cool game and I'd love to see it further developed.
Interesting concept with some fun puzzles to prove it out. Well done.
Having the character being able to change in real time is quite interesting! Personally had a hard time with the controls but still had lots of fun regardless of that! Great Job!:)
It's a pretty cool concept!
I really like your level of detail, the squash and stretch on the character made the game feel more alive.
Like for example when you fell down it made a little squash.
Also the music and background is super cool, it kind of reminded me of hollow knight, I just wish the music stayed for all the levels, not just the first one.
I think the biggest downside is that the controls are a bit weird and I died a few times since I got them mixed up.
Otherwise a super good entry, well done! :D
I loved the real-time character customization and loved how when in editor mode it slows down time, as others have mentioned, you did great on sounds!
I like the atmosphere, sounds played a big role there. The customization is a bit developer-mode-like, but it's difficult for sure to design easy controls for real time customization. Maybe instead of holding space, making it toggable would be a bit easier for the player.
the costomization here is veru unique, never seen anything like it, good job, moce and relaxing scenery and music, helped me relax a bit, thank you,
I would appreciate it if you check mine out.
Game vibe is awsome. thought I found it littel hard to understand the customization system I got used to it after sometime.
over all its a good entry. I love that squizing effect of the character
Love the vibes so much!!!
The control scheme is a bit cooked though xD
- There is no visual feedback for two of the states (jump height and gravity) (i guess they also kinda customize a very similar thing, in a way). The “size” parameter does have a visual indicator of what state you’re in (wide vs tall), which is good
- It’s all on one hand, all the buttons, which introduces some friction
I like the atmosphere a lot!
The grass is so cozy and the sfx complements it well.
There are a couple of notes I have:
1. When you start the tutorial text is not fully visible
2. I didn't find the reason to use slow motion for editing the character. if you just press 1,2,3 and then edit it would be much easier
3. I wish there was an option in game to turn tutorial messages off because on the second run I already know what to do basically :)
Really like the vibe of the game :) I am curious to see what's next!
Thank you for your feedback, I just checked out yours.
I definitely agree with the text and will look into that bug and hide it after your first run.
I see what you mean with the slow-mo for editing, but do you feel that it would be harder to edit when going fast? My intent for having the slo-mo was that editing would be easy without wasting much time on your run since the game is speed-run oriented. Either way I can add an option to edit in real time as well.
Thanks for your feedback!
