Use of the limitation
I strengthened the character by taking powers from the OP table, and then the character goes insane with the last power received and becomes absurdly powerful, breaking everywhere they jump

Oh no, did my robot get caught at the end ?! lol
This was a decent platformer with a really catchy song. The movement and wall jump work well, and the power-ups were fun, especially when being overpowered meant destroying the stage. I ran into a few moments where collisions felt a bit strict, particularly with the spikes, when just the hand of the robot would be over it, but not touching it. Overall, I had a good time and was motivated to keep going. Nice job on this, especially for a first game and for making it entirely on a phone.

The character is awesome, the art, sound and presentation is generally very nice. FInished the game satisfied. I feel like the screenshake on landing was a tad excessive, I really enjoyed the block breaking jump and wish it were used more. With a bit more polish I could see myself happily playing through a longer version of this.  Thanks for the little experience :)

Thank you for your kind comment. I really couldn't add much because I had limited time. I even had in mind adding a death counter and timer in the upper left corner, but it didn't work out. Thank you for your kind comment.

Congrats on making such a neat game for your first jam! I love the robot character and environment. The mechanics are introduced well and were easy to understand for the most part.

Some parts of the level did feel needlessly difficult. You have zero room for error which to me clashes with the way the character moves. I liked the challenge of the levels but some parts felt like too much.  However, if you were going for challenging precision platforming, you're definitely going in the right direction :)

Also, very cool that you made this entirely on a phone. That blows my mind! haha

Thank you very much, I hope you enjoyed playing.

It took me 15 minutes to fully understand this last part, and another 10 minutes to put it into practice. For some reason, I found it very difficult. I liked it though.

Developer

Thank you for playing.

Congrats on making your first game! The design of the robotic character is fun, and I like the little bit of heft they have when they jump. You integrated a lot of platforming classics, like wall-jumps and shifting the gravity, and I found them...actually kind of challenging which makes this game a bit of a precision platformer! Finding the right balance between difficult and impossible in the eyes of the player is tricky. The "robot breaks things under it" idea is quite original and I wonder if there's ways to integrate that into puzzles in a platformer: maybe the player's weight breaks some platforms after a time, causing them to be quick on their feet? Nice work!

I got stuck at the jump boost

Can you send a screenshot? I've played the game at least 10-15 times.

Haha, no, not glitched, I mean, I'm just too bad at the game- I couldn't get past it

Developer
