Short and sweet

I liked the chosen approach to customization in terms of UI

Great story! I didn't read the description, so I got stuck at the beginning for a while before reading the comments to find out that I needed to press enter to continue. Interested to play it in the next round though

You have about 91,390 combinations here. This was a fun twist! I was vibing with the good vibes, only to be vibing with the bad vibes. I love that, and lots of games do it wrong these days. You genuinely subverted my expectations.

Totally unexpected vibe from the title page--my expectations of this game was shattered.

I really wish that this project would be continued on--It felt like such an interesting concept and story. I wish to see what happens next. In terms of the customizations, everything flows together quite smoothly. I really like the 3D models created, having a really clean pixel theme.

One thing I would like to see is the interaction between players--the previous player could give clues / customizations to the next player. I had this idea when the game dialogue mentioned player transition, although I don't know how would it be accomplished...

Great job!

Nice narative and good 3D customisation props

I 100% want to play this.

Cool narrative and dang, so many customizations -- the world is our oyster in this game :p Nice work designing so many unique 3d assets for the jam, that's no easy feat at all! Also a big fan of the minecraft-y aesthetic.

Love the blocky style, wish we could see some animations or turn around the character to see more of the selected shapes, but there was a decent variety and of course unlimited color choices.

Submitted

An intriguing story built around the customizations. Loved it!

Well done on the atmosphere. I actually somehow managed to get stuck on the very first input as enter just didn't seem like the key I'd normally press to advance dialogue. Good thing there were instructions so I could actually play the game.

Developer

I don't think anyone HASN'T gotten stuck on it. I really thought "enter" would be 1 of 2 choices to try, but clearly I was wrong. Thanks for playing!

The text effects were really nicely done and I like that you can turn the 3D model of Vicky around at any angle too. Focusing on one part at a time was a great way of doing the customisation and I like the options available and that any colour can be picked. To make the game even better, I would recommend having pop up text prompts to guide the player so things like "Press Enter". Overall, a solid submission and I hope we get to see what happens next

Goated narration!

I really like the story you built up and I'm looking forward to seeing how it progress in further rounds!

Well done :D

Very ominous and creepy, love it! The customisation experience felt very smooth, but do agree with the feedback about the enter key. Would love to see where this goes next!

Submitted

Lots of promise, the story felt very ominous, I could definitely see this being continued and further developed

Nice customizations, there's not a huge amount there but what is feels really polished. All in all a good implementation of the task. I had a similar problem to others with continuing the dialog just to pile on that one criticism. The text animation were cool but it started to feel a bit much, something to watch out for if it's headed in a dialog heavy direction. Nice submission!

Developer

I'll definitely speed up and make it easier to go through dialogue if I make it round 2. I figured it'd be fine for round 1, but clearly a lot of people think otherwise :,). Thanks for playing!

Nice work going 3d, felt a bit like a minecraft character!

I had the same issue figuring out Enter was the continue key as the others.

I'm not sure the type of game this would end up being, but it wasn't clear if the customization choices would have any non-cosmetic effect.

I liked the playful text effects, but I recommend it appear a bit faster so it feels like reading a sentence instead of one word at a time.

The sliders and clothing swaps felt very snappy and responsive, good job!

The 3D models look really nice, there are many hair styles and clothes, and it feels one of the most finished character creators during this round. Good job!

I would appreciate it if you check mine out.

Took a minute to realize how to continue the dialogue after the click wasn't working. If you continue the game, maybe including a "Hit enter" would help. I also wish I could use a color picker to get the same colors I used cause trying to match my shoes to my hair was really hard since I couldn't see it and didn't remember exactly where I left the sliders.

I intended to add a color picker but forgot lol. And I probably should've just made clicking work as a "continue" control key. Guess I was too busy writing vague statements to think of user ease. Hope you enjoyed regardless.
