Hi! I’m the developer of The Restaurant (name not set in stone lol), an in-development 18+ 2D adult visual novel built in Ren’Py, and I’m currently looking for a long-term artist to partner with on the project and future DLC.
This is not a one-off commission, I’m specifically looking for someone who wants to grow with the project over its patreon backing and future content.
Game Premise
The Restaurant follows a 19-year-old protagonist who returns to their hometown after a mysterious college expulsion and begins working at a local restaurant. What starts as a slice-of-life job slowly turns into a romance-driven mystery, involving coworkers, regulars, and a larger conspiracy threatening both the MC and the restaurant itself. Art Style & Work Needed
The art style I'm looking for is inspired by popular western 2D AVNs such as Summertime Saga, What a Legend, etc.
Style Description:
- 2D, cartoon/semi-realistic western anime style
- Clean linework, expressive faces
- Soft but vibrant coloring
- Characters that feel attractive but grounded (not hyper-realistic)
Work Includes:
- Character sprites (multiple outfits, expressions, poses)
- Occasional animated scenes (SFW & NSFW)
- (OPTIONAL) Location backgrounds (restaurant, home, town locations, etc.)
I already have detailed character descriptions, references, and master documents ready to make the workflow smooth. Once you start on the project, I would be working with you on inspiration for artwork, and a list of work, scenes, and more. Payment Structure
- Upfront commission to start
- Revenue share via a percentage of Patreon income tied to the project
- Long-term consistency as DLC and updates continue
The goal is to build something sustainable where both of us benefit as the project grows. Interested?
If this sounds like a good fit, please reach out to me with:
- Your portfolio or gallery
- If past experience: Any AVN or character-focused work (NSFW welcome if applicable)
- Your general availability and timezone
I’m happy to answer questions and discuss details. Looking forward to finding the right creative partner!
